AL CHABOT recalled:
The last professional fight that Al Chabot fought was in 1965 against
MANNY RAMIREZ. The Canadian featherweight would retire after a
near fatal car accident in 1966 in the Prince George region of British Columbia.
Recently, the former amateur champion and promising pro boxer
was recognized and remembered in Vernon, British Columbia
at the 2012 BC GOLDEN GLOVES. Another former amateur great
and a one-time pro boxer recognized was ROGER ADOLPH.
Roger has also been nominated for the 2012 selection
of the BC Amateur Boxing Hall of Fame which will be decided
after June 30 th.
