The fifth domestic heavyweight Prizefighter is coming up on June 20. I was thinking just the other day that we might due one, with a lot of the UK HW landscape changing since October 2010. Any news on who's in it? There are plenty who fit the Prizefighter mould - guys who have more to win than lose by entering it:

Matt Skelton
Michael Sprott
John McDermott
Martin Rogan
Kevin McBride
Larry Olubamiwo
Carl Baker
Danny Williams (if he could get licensed in Britain, which he probably can't)
Tom Dallas
Ali Adams (if he loses to Harrison)
David Howe
Danny Hughes
David Dolan

I thought they was doing an international Heavyweight one? im not that interested in another UK heavys..

Hmm, maybe they are. I just saw "Prizefighter - Heavyweights" on the Sky schedule and assumed it would specify if it was international.

I'd rather see a domestic Prizefighter than an international one.

If they do an international one then it should be 50% British and 50% foreign.

Yes, UK vs .... would be a good draw. The problem with the last international one (besides the various pullouts) was the atmosphere dipped after Sprott was eliminated.

How about UK vs Australia?

Originally this was meant to be Overseas prizefighter. Either Uk V US or UK V OZ could be good.

Non. He was born in NZ, looks like he's from NZ but he's a naturalised Aussie, I think.

He was born in Fiji - and as Fiji was a British colony when he was born - is technically British! :P

It's an international one.

There is no way there are 8 GB/UK Heavyweights who would either be available or willing to take part in the June edition of Prizefighter unless they scrape the very bottom of the barrel so i'm going to presume that it's an international version.

Being realistic as there's no point naming guys who have a ranking or world title ambitions i think the following 8 guys could be convinced to take part especially with a guranteed upfront basic win or lose.

1. Shannon Briggs - gives him a chance to put some quick wins together and put him self back in world title contention.
2. Travis Walker - always makes for exciting fights and would fancy his chances in a competition like this.
3. Sam Sexton - if he loses to Price and dosen't get KO'd then this would make sense for him.
4. Alex Leapai- exciting fighter who probably knows he'll never get a world title shot now.
5. Martin Rogan - could be interested in becoming the first 2 time Prizefighter champion.
6. Larry Olubamiwo - he really needs to give Prizefighter a go at this stage of his career.
7. Tom Dallas - last chance saloon.
8. Jameel McCline - big puncher with limited stamina so could be interested in the 3 round format.

It is an international one. You named so good names lose Dallas replace with Pajikc.Also Rogan with Perez. Sexton with Sprott and that be a good line up.

Much though I'd love to see a International Tournament featuring Botha, Briggs, McCline, Tua, McCall and all the names mentioned.

Three words come to mind.
