Good performance. Mcintosh wasnt at the races. Bellew should should aim towards Gutnecht who was lucky in his last fight but highly ranked and a winnable fight.

I was supporting Danny as hes a local lad&i thought he might get you early but i was well wrong..he didnt look interested to me,maybe you freaked him out!!

Yep congrats to Bellew who looked very sharp and fought with efficiency, focus and power against a frankly ragged but brave McKintosh.
TBF he has shown improvement over his last three fights and I'd like to see a rematch with Cleverley sooner than later.
Bellew 'seems' to have the killer instinct that Nathan lacks.

Could he go for the Euro belt and alternate that with title defences of his British? If so, with 4 fights over the next year or so he could win the Euro, win the lonsdale belt outright and then be in line for a crack at a world title.

Saying that, if he gets a shot at a world title through an alternative route I'm sure he'll take it

He looked very impressive and big props to him for his performance, jab was excellent, he found the target with a lot of his follow up punches as well and did a number on the kid really.

Placed himself above Euro class for me now, Gutknecht was having kittens with McIntosh for 5 rounds or so and Tony had few if any problems from the first bell.

Cleverly rematch is a certainty on that performance, if they can talk Cleverly's mando into slipping in the shower or some such like.

I think he has every chance of beating Cleverly in the rematch, he has improved again and providing he really is ok at the weight and I must confess I am not convinced he is, then he really could
get his hands on a world belt.

Bellew is quality, simple as.

Love the way he fights, technically spot on, ruthless, goes to the body well, and can bang with both hands.

Ok McIntosh isn't anywhere near world level, but he is awkward and strong, and Tony broke him down with ease last night.

He shows some real touches of quality, when he goes back he's pivots nicely, little bit of head movement and hand up to cover his blind side, that's high level stuff that a lot of Brit level guys don't have. A couple of us commented last night that he looks like he's been schooled in American gyms.

He's also got a FANTASTIC jab, long and stiff (ooh matron), he dominated Clev with it early in their fight (if he'd have stuck to that in the fight he would have won by a few round imo)

Best thing is, he's clearly a decent, self deprecating guy, judging by his post fight interview last night, thanking his coaches, downplaying his natural ability etc

Is he still with Warren? Needs to be kept busy, forget about Clev fighting bum of the months, Tony needs to forge his own career, take risks, follow Froch's lead.

I think Tony was right last night when he said he didn't know how good he could be, i haven't got a clue either, he could sink or swim fighting the top, top guys (Clev dont count), but it will be fun finding out.

Hope he builds some more momentum in next few months

Fantastic performance by the Bomber, did what he had to do and did it in style. Really comes over well in the interviews too. Get the Lonsdale next I suppose, assuming there's a viable challenge there somewhere - the Euro title will be tricky though, as probably have to go over to Germany - so could maybe give that a miss. At some point, they could probably get Cloud over with his belt, as he's not a ticket seller and would likely come over for the right payday.

The only sniff of FW I noticed was the perma-tanned presence of The Modfather himself - Dean Powell.

Eddie definitely seemed to be there supporting Bellew. Wouldn't be surprised if he moved to Matchroom, got the impression the chance to secure a Cleverly fight was the min reason for signing with FWP.

I'd go with most of that. His jab was laser guided and ram rod straight. His hand speed was excellent for a big guy too. He's very efficient and doesn't waste anything when he's in range. When he's out of range he is mindful of what the other guy is doing but is also looking for a way in. I agree with him when he says he has got a great boxing brain, it almost as if you can see the cogs turning when he's fighting. My only minor minor criticism is that when he throws his big right, he throws it with that much speed and power he sometimes over reaches and it takes him a moment to regain his stance when the punch misses (which you could count on 2 fingers). His post fight interview was very humble and earnest and he seems to have a very level head on his shoulders.

well done bomber, great discipline and great performance, loved the work to the body, very very effective and bought macs hands down.

all in all a great performance. make the lonsdale belt your own, who cares who the opponent is.

Tony's done his job in the ring.
Now its his Promotor's job to deliver.

Activity is the key now aimed at getting him a ranking - and not just the WBO route.

Fantastic performance, needs to be more active now tho rather than another 6 months wait to see him again. Anyone know the length of contract he signed with allegedly? I know Coldwell won the bids to stage the fight but him & Hearn looked like Bellew's biggest fans last night.

Very impressive display. He's come on leaps and bounds since the Ajasafe fight where he looked amateurish. I think he's a better fighter than Cleverly and would beat him in a re-match. As for how far he can go, I don't think he is elite level but I do think he can win a version of the world title. He probably needs a high-profile but easy fight next. I wonder if the promotors will try to make Bellew v Maccarinelli? I think Bomber would get him out of there quickly and would raise his profile.

Bellew looked fantastic and Danny seemed cowed by the power and speed of the punches coming at him. Bomber did very well against a decent fighter, (Dannys' corner instructions were a bit strange and can't have inspired much confidence).

Thought Bomber looked a good, polished all rounder. Anyone who beats him will have to be very good and I would say he wld have far too much for Clev if they had a rematch. Clev has gone backwards dramatically. PLEASE don't make Bellew v Macc - that wld be a horrible watch and I think Bomber wld do serious damage to dear old Enzo

Great boxing performance from the ultra professional Bellew, in fairness Mcintosh left himself wide open all fight and had no answer to Bellew's work rate, it's time for bigger and better things in my opinion, yeah he could go domestic again to secure the belt but I think another dead rubber is just a waste of 6 months I'd like to see him tackle someone of world level, save the grudge match with Cleverley for further down the line when his profile is bigger.

If I was Bellew I'd defo be wanting to go for European title in the next fight, there's absolutely no reason that can't be made and he'd be comfortable at that level. I agree getting a Lonsdale would be nice, but at this stage would be a waste of 6 months coming off his career-best performance. Strike while the iron is hot I say.
