what a sad sad chap.

Has been banned off here, ESB, YouTube and various other sites multiple times for his mentally deranged crusade against Lee.

I know not everyone is a fan of Lee, I like the chap, but man you need to let it go - seriously!

Right on cue, good old Len :TU:
I'll give it an hour before the thread is deleted and you are banned (again!)

Hope all your effort was worth it and the bile isnt destroying the taste of your baked beans on toast!

If you can find factual errors in my work I would be delighted to hear about them! I'd even correct them on your advice!

I havent said that anything that you have outlined was factually incorrect. I am simply stating that your crusade (which has lasted years!) to try and belittle Lee is sad, worrying, weird and boarding on showing signs of being an obsessive mentally person.

Give it a rest.

I don't really need to 'belittle Lee' Len he manages that on a daily basis himself, anyway any chance of posting my 'article' on the venerable 'Irish Boxing' site where you have some clout?

Would be most appreciated :TU:
you aint bad at being a spamming troll monkey so you can do that yourself. Look at the reaction you have got on ESB, the Irish thread and here to your post. Maybe that should let you know how sad you are.

Was this thread really necessary? I think it says more about you that you spent so long with your original post than it does about Lee.

Yes it does.

My favourite thing about your post is that leaving home is number one on your list of achievements. Wow, you da man.

You miss the point entirely Jimmy, this was a veiled reference at that fact that Murtagh is still at home with Mum & Dad despite nearing 40.

Does that help any?

It was actually very thinly veiled, but thanks for the explanation (perhaps one to add to your list of achievements?). Look, you listed leaving home as the main thing you'd achieved that he hadn't. Pathetic, and you know it. Well done though for taking the step yourself though.

Oh look, you had a girlfriend, and you worked too. Oh stop, this is too much, your CV must be a work of art, or comedy.

I don't see any relevance in detailing whether or not Lee lives at home, has a job (apart from boxing) or if he has a long-term relationship etc. That's just personal invective. I've spoken to Lee and found him a decent guy (not that I can claim to know him well) and I was also ringside for his fight with JJ McDonagh where he took a lot of punishment before being stopped. He certainly didn't lack heart in that fight.

Ok so you left home at the age of 35, your wife left you, you work in poundland, you see your kids once a month at social services due to a restraining order and you have a wide circle of friends...on facebook

Who fcuking cares? Worst thread Ive read.

Has Lee knocked you out before or shagged your misses?

As you highlighted the "knocked you out" bit and put a laughing smilie - does this mean that he did shag your misses ?

I've always found Lee to be a really nice chap. Your personal hatred of him is pretty vicious what has he done to upset you? For this level of envy- i'd imagine a snub of some description but it must be eating you up terribly inside.

My suggestion, as a neutral is air your dirty laundry- it will more then likely provide you with a bit of closure on the subject. Logging on as an annon person - to insult someone who doesn't even use forums is a bit bizarre. If he's been a pudendum tell the forum why- if he's not give it a rest as your only making a fool of yourself and your postings and responses suggest your not a complete idiot.

Sonny Barch wrote:If the rumours are to be believed the Leeds veteran is now retired following his embarrassing capitulation against 3 – 2 novice lightmiddle Curtis Valentine. According to Boxing News Murtagh is claiming he was ‘knocked out’ with a butt (he has also previously claimed that JJ McDonagh knocked him out with blows to the ‘nape of his neck’ Anto Fitz butted/elbowed him, Gary Beardsley thumbed him, one of Martin Bailey’s fans punched him when he was on the canvas) The term ‘knocked out’ is subjective where Murtagh is concerned however, if you look at the Youtube links below featuring Murtagh’s ‘knock out’ defeats against Valentine/McDonagh/Khaliq you see a similar denouement in each, a fully conscious Murtagh on his knees allowing himself to be counted out while seemingly able to continue (I’ve also see him live against Ciaran Healy and on SKY against Gary Woolcombe and he did exactly the same thing in these defeats!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzD4AqkLLhM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4s9OWtV6j8o

A cursory glance of Murtagh’s career shows he had a winning record of 31 – 14 – 1 – 2 NC and won 4 titles, but let’s take a closer look at the statistics of Murtagh’s career:

The most remarkable (alarming) statistics on looking at Murtagh’s record are 31 victories but NOT ONE inside distance and 11 inside distance defeats (to put this in context Peter Buckley was only stopped 10 times in his 300 fights against much better opposition than faced by Murtagh)

The overall records of Murtagh’s 48 opponents total: 376 – 617 – 47

The overall records of opponents Murtagh has beaten: 207 –506* – 31

*To be fair to Murtagh 110 of this total belong to Seamus Casey, but even discounting these the overall log is still a dire: 207 – 396 – 31

Only 22 of Murtagh’s 48 opponents (Anto Fitz twice) had winning records totalling: 175 – 62 – 11

Regarding the 4 ‘titles’ Murtagh won during his career (2 Masters ‘titles’ and 2 Central Area) He lost both Masters in his first defence and gave up both Central Area without defending.

In total Murtagh took part in 15 fights* involving a title of some sort, his overall record in these fights: 4 – 10 – 0 – 1 NC. 3 of his ‘title’ wins were on points (of course) 1 by disqualification. A staggering 9 of his title losses were inside the distance against 1 one on points and one No Contest.

*This would have been 16 but he withdrew at the weigh in against Jim Rock as he wasn’t willing to concede 12oz weight difference.

Murtagh a prolific ticket seller (although I have been informed that he buys tickets himself and gives them to family & friends) has fought 11 times in his adopted home town of Leeds, with a mediocre record of: 6 – 5 – 0 and not surprisingly 5 of these wins were on points, 1 on disqualification and ALL 5 losses inside schedule.

There you have it gentlemen, statistics do not lie the bloke was/is completely shi*te.

I will now count to ten and wait for either Slapbangwhallop/Len Gunning or Wake Up Call/Andrew Wake (long time and committed Murtagh apologists) to spring to his defence)

NB: Before anyone else launches invective in my direction asking ‘what I’ve achieved in comparison to Murtagh’ etc I fully concede my pro career (such as it was) was utterly dire, but unlike Mr Murtagh I have:

1. Left home.
2. Had a long term relationship (been married even)
3. Had children.
4. Held down a full time job.
5. Made a circle of friends around my own age (by all accounts Murtagh hangs around with a bunch of teenagers and early 20’s acolytes who massage his ego)
If all thus is correct; so what?

He's never set himself up as a world beater and I've never seen him in the papers for anything bad.

He's not a great boxer but done what he could with what he's got.

(Wish I'd got a bunch of ego massaging accolytes!)

Please point out any inaccuracies in my original post and I will happily correct them. Both my appraisal of his career and his personal life are 100% accurate to my knowledge, no 'dirty laundry' Jeff, facts.

So I'm a 'fool' and an 'idiot' (one would almost think the thread was about you) this condemnation from Jeff 'Manilow' Thomas a man in his mid 30's who has copied Miguel Cotto's tattoo, a man who starts endless and frankly tedious self promoting threads on ESB, a man who pathetically asked for handouts on ESB to finance his 'comeback' (a whole three fights thus far) a 'Personal Trainer' who was on the point of collapse after ONE ROUND in Prizefighter.

Here's a ringwalk tune for your next fight (mid 2014 at your current level of activity)

By all accounts he turned it into a maul with his 'veteran' tactics, committed numerous fouls, moaned at the ref constantly then baled out when he got caught with a couple of half decent rights in the 7th (has to be noted as well that JJ is terrible, that's the only reason Murtagh made it competitive, the much smaller/lighter/experienced Valentine beat up Murtagh with some ease)
Like I say, I was at that fight and can tell you he ate more than just a couple of half decent rights (and anyways, JJ's a southpaw so it was mainly the lefts doing the damage). Sure, he used rough house tactics but that was the only chance he had against a taller, faster and more powerful opponent (who is not terrible).

Your a good troll to be fair- pretty amusing and highly dedicated... Brave enough to share your name and career achievements on here?

There seems some serious jealousy here... My guesses are - you are;

A) Someone who was in the gym with lee who never got anywhere and your jealous because he did.
B) A wannabe boxing coach he fobbed off or you lost people to his club.
C) A jilted wannabe boyfriend.

You used to be married.... what happened- were you too busy tugging yourself off to all these murtagh fights you watch on youtube and she got rid.

Have a great night- jealousy is a horrible thing- your punishment is every day at home on your own -not on a forum. I hope you find a happy place for yourself. sincerely.

Yes because you wanted to keep this personal matter private by putting your dislike for him on a public forum

So you didn't offer your details then? That's embarrassing

Lee was a very good junior amateur and does a bit of promoting in the unlicensed scene. He is doing one in my home town soon. He is at virtually every show at all levels round here. Valentine is a banger who sparked Luke Robinson, who is extremely tough.
