When Ryan wins then it be obvious he will wnat to leave if his promotors in the other guys corner.Casio wrote:Yeah - Saw a bit of this on Twitter yesterday. Seems like Ricky thought Rhodes knew he was in Rabchenkos corner but that obviously wasnt the case.
Personally i think Rhodes is going to lose so it'll be his last fight anyway.

remind us of who said " if you want loyalty buy a dog"
So what you're really saying is that 'business is business and there's no room for sentiment'.Casio wrote:Theres 2 sides to the story gents!los2 wrote:the peoples champ?ppb wrote:

Ricky has said he thought he'd made it clear to Ryan after the first one was postponed that he'd be in Rabchenkos corner. Why's is everyone getting on his back?
From a promotors point of view its surely the right thing to do? Rhodes nearing the end of his career and Rabchenko is an undefeated hungry up and comer.....
100% correct. Ricky is lining himself up for shit storm here, wide open to litigation perhaps? Massive conflict of interest. Not sure if its even allowed. Must check.tannervegas wrote:Total conflict of interest which is either intentional or borne out of naivety
Certainly he's got a problem if Rhodes loses in a contentious or controversial way.The Insider wrote:100% correct. Ricky is lining himself up for shit storm here, wide open to litigation perhaps? Think he been making a few strange decisions. The way they promoted Munroe as well. On that card both Munroe and Rhodes will be like oppostion fightersFinal round wrote:Strange decision by Hatton ..
. Cynical folk would suggest Ricky wouldn't mind trimmin down his stable a bit!leforge wrote:Think he been making a few strange decisions. The way they promoted Munroe as well. On that card both Munroe and Rhodes will be like oppostion fightersFinal round wrote:Strange decision by Hatton ..
I'll get you added to the list Terry.King Geedorah wrote:I can't get on their press mailing list, mate, so didn't know the time, place etc.twenty six wrote:Just got back from the Press Conference.
It is difficult for anyone to argue against the fact that Ricky has put himself in an awkward situation.
As a Promotor he should quite frankly be sat ringside in his smart suit and neutral.
As for making it clear that this was going to happen - sorry Ricky that is not the case.
When Ryan had to pull out of the fight on 24/3 Ricky did indeed say he would be in Rabchenko's corner because Ryan was no longer the opponent but stated that when the fight was rescheduled he would adopt the role of Promotor.
Ultimately it's nothing more than a disappointment for Team Rhodes.
Many a good man has backed the wrong racehorse.
I just hope that there are no problems during the fight or any contentious issues or the conspiracy theorists are going to have a field day.
As for the Press Conference itself it was quite low key which surprised me.
Not one question was raised about the Sky issue for instance.
Where were you Messrs Dooley amd McNeilly with the questions ?!![]()
Tanner - you are right in what you say.
This just in, Ricky is a hypocrite.MachoMan09 wrote:A lot hollow.danfoster wrote:Makes Ricky's complaints about Sky not delivering the bad news face-to-face look a bit hollow...

rhodes hasnt spun a story.....the comments are off coldwells twitter......do you think that rhodes will sign another contract with hatton?JDC wrote:Anyone else thinking that maybe this gets more interest in the fight?
Rhodes has been in the game long enough to know when to spin a story, as has Hatton.
Got you all talking, hasn't it?
Irrelevent if Ryan wins, but if he .......twenty six wrote:The story has no "spin" to it.
It is what it is.
Uttterly irrelevent now.
What is important is the fight.
