Might subscribe to allegedly - your opinions on it?

Have to be honest, I have only just become aware of this channel.
Not been on the forums much, so only recently learned of it. Think I'm going to subscribe to it to get tonight's boxing, but just wondering what others reckon. £10 per month seems reasonable, but do we get our money's worth? How frequently are big fights aired, are they usually live or delayed, etc? What recent noteworthy fights have been screened?

I like it. It's been great for the overseas fights. The UK cards haven't been great but a lot of this is due to bad luck with fighters pulling out injured.
Worth a 10er a month.

Like many others have been waiting to see how things develop but I've just subscribed this afternoon. Whilst British action has been hit and miss you can't argue with their international coverage for sure!

After weeks of deliberating, I've succumbed and I've subscribed.
Dimitrenko v Pulev, Stieglitz v Hamdan, Alvarez v Mosley and Mayweather v Cotto all in one night. I realise that it isn't like this every week but that is an impressive line up.
I no longer have to 'go around to my friends house' to watch allegedly now 8)

I've just signed up for online viewing as I'm sick of the adverts appearing on boxingguru (still a brilliant site though!). The picture quality on allegedly is excellent. Really enjoying tonights show, just hoping I can stay awake until the end!

They're getting some good fights. But imagine how murderously pissed off I'm feeling right now because the Sky+ recording ended too early AGAIN. Round fecking 4. Good job the repeat was showing.

They're doing a great job of getting lots of interesting fights on.
But I wish they'd get rid of John Rawlings - he's awful. He makes exciting fights seem boring with his monotone voice, and he's biased against certain fighters.

I wish they'd get rid of Spencer Fearon. He grinds on me, with his repetition of "man" and "innit", as well as basically repeating points already made by the other commentator. I don't think he provides any worthwhile insight and is something of a headache.
Other than that, I'm quite happy with my new subscription thus far!

Subscribed to it last week. Reckon it's good value for money at a tenner a month personally. Last nights line up was very impressive and they have some good fights in the pipeline too.

After a lot of umming and arrring, I folded and subscribed. I think it's very good, although it may soon have to move its broadcasting base to Luxemburg!

I really hate to say it but since I subscribed on Friday I'm asking myself why I didn't subscribe a lot sooner. In the space of three days I've certainly had my money's worth already.
I even sat and watched some fat little German kid pitter patter to a draw against some Russian boy in what looked like someone's front room last night. I'm loving it!

I like it. I know a lot slate it but if you are in to boxing I think its well worth a tenner a month.
On another note I am with Virgin and have no lock in for 6 months. Not that I am going to but I could cancel it tomorrow.
Just putting it in perspective a ppv over here is £15 so a tener seems fair. Also, Im amazed how much ppv is in the states.
These figures are off top of my head but close to 2 million(?) over there thought it worth $60(?)

I watched it a lot before it went to subscription and bit the bullet as soon as it did. Glad I did - I'd hate to think of how many hours I've spent watching! Loads of good international fights - plus the new deal with Golden Boy - some good UK matches, albeit some affected by injuries etc. out of their control and loads of European matches including quite a number of title fights.
They also had some great documentaries, repeats of classic fights from the past and Bunce's Hour. Not to mention "The Brawl in the Park" on 14th July...

Its a nitpick, but one thing that grates me with the allegedly coverage, is when they do the overseas stuff and then return to the studio - they nearly always have a go at the American commentary team. Jim Rosenthal was having a go at Larry Merchant. Bunce and Fearon were having a go at Kellerman in the weigh in feature.
Sometimes their digs are justified, and Rosenthal is a fabulous anchor...... but I cannot help thinking about the saying of "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones".

I thought the whole point of SKY or Cable TV when it came out, was to be able to watch the sports, not pay on top of that!

Brilliant coverage of international shows, they're doing everything Sky should be when it comes to World level boxing coverage.
So many of the big international fighters over the past 9 months would've gone un-aired on British TV without this channel.
£10 a month = bargain.

It is very good. It means we have access to a lot more boxing. There is something worth watching virtually every weekend and often multiple big cards. There's also extras eg the ABAs and on the whole I think they've invested well in good anchormen and pundits. I would always go for the ppvs on Sky, so at £10 a month I find the channel good value. I really hope it succeeds.
The main downside is that certain boxers are now effectively stuck on that channel, which means they are distanced from casual fans and the public, which won't help their careers.

well farcenation have pissed me right off today ,
Ive moved from sky to virgin recently , as my sky contract was finished freeing me up to move and allegedly had cancelled the minimum 6 month contract in favour of monthly service , so i switched over just a couple of days before the mayweather cotto fight as my allegedly ran until the 13th although i had by this point cancelled my direct debit to them so i could set up on virgin , anyway as id cancelled the direct debit they switched off my allegedly on my skybox ten mins into the broadcast (i had re plugged in my sky box to watch ) was annoyed but thought it didnt surprise me , ive now today got a letter from them telling me to re submit my bank details as im tied into a contract ???????????????? must be only new customers get the option to cancel , although i intended to set it up again on virgin anyway , they can bollocks if they think im going to re do the direct debit to pay for allegedly on sky whilst i dont any longer have sky , if it becomes an issue they can fvck right off and i not bother subscribing on virgin , which from me is a tough stance as i wouldnt normally want to be without my tv boxing , why they need to make it so damn difficult for their customers is beyond me .

Always read the small print.
i realise that now but still shouldnt be so damn difficult , not as if i was leaving them , even emailed first to say i was swapping etc and got questionaire in response , only emailed as i had read on here of someone having an issue swapping it , well as i said they can get fvcked if they think im paying for a sky channel when ive not got sky , makes no odds what the small print says they wouldnt have a leg to stand on if they tried to pursue it and wouldnt be worth the time and effort , they certainly wouldnt be able to charge for something im not physically able to receive .
