I got Mitchell in this, closely on points.

Brilliant fight, hard to call.... I've never really backed against Mitchell - if he has prepared well, got his head screwed on - then I think he does it. Just think Burns' lack of firepower might be an issue.

I've heard the Burns & Povetkin fights are definitely going ahead though.

I read something from a reliable source saying that haye v chisora are negotiating and the rumours that the fight is being announced is wrong. Its burns v mitchell and the povetkin fight.

I cant see why people would pick mitchell to win this match up - apart from beat john murray who was never tested beyond european level he's dont nothing other than get absolutley spanked by katsidis and beat the crazily over rated prescott. Burns has proven himself at world class, he isnt going to just walk forward all night or just try throwing bangers and get out boxed.

Dont get me wrong mitchell impressed me against murray but by the same token its not hard to look good against someone walking forward in a straight line with no guard and just trying to outwork you. Burns has dimensions, a solid defense, is great and finding ranges, he's got the engine, the work rate and the range of shots.

So Warren is promoting the Povetkin-Rahman fight. Does he have some kind of partnership agreement with Sauerland?

Maybe he's trying to have Povetkin become better known to the UK fans to help promote a future fight between Chisora and Povetkin.

Can see me being slaughtered for this as Burns isn't exactly a huge hitter but i think he will stop Mitchell in the later rounds.

Mitchell late stoppage/points burns will not hurt him, no chance

Id also say theres no chance of Mitchell stopping Burns.

He has an agreement in place to show Sauerland events on his station. That's all I know.

I would be very surprised if the fight turns out like the Murray one. Burns is much different fighter than Murray in terms of style, dimensions, and ability.

What has Mitchell got that Burns hasnt? The only edge i would give him is power, but i don't think he is powerful enough to stop burns.
My only concern is that if it goes to the cards then mitchell obviously has the advantage with being at home.

Based on what? burns has taken out genuine world class talent like martinez and katsidis mitchell has only stepped up beyond european level once before and was destroyed.

My guess is because Jessi is a Mitchell supporter. Nothing else suggests Kevin has a 'far superior' boxing brain.

No chance of this fight being similar to the Murray fight. Burns isn't a face first brawler with no head movement like Murray.

Mitchell is a complete natural, burns has to work hard at this level, if your reading in to the common opponent katsidis result your in for a shock, Mitchell is better in every department and will stop burns late on, I'm sure of it.

Kev would have to give the performance of his life to beat Burns....

There's no doubt that the Katsidis that Burns beat was a completely different animal to what Mitchell faced (I.E after JMM and Guerrero). However I feel this will be a very even fight, and I'm not sure who I'd fancy, which is weird as Mitchell seems to punch harder, even though I've always said he should campaign at SFW.

I can't recall the last decent fighter than Burns put down?

This is the type of fight we need in British boxing!

I saw them spar two years ago.

I think the differences of opinion on here are indicative of the fact it's a great match-up that has a real 'pick' em' feel to it. Burns has clearly come on leaps and bounds in recent years and has developed a style that's highly effective for him that leverages his strengths, while Mitchell has shown on occasion that he's got bags of potential.
If I was pushed I'd lean towards Burns on points, but either way it's a great fight to look forward to.
