Manny Pacquiao vs Arturo Gatti

at 140 how would this fight go? Arturo had power in both hands and had a go-for-broke style that i feel would present some trouble to pac. now we all know pac finds most of his success with guys that charge in towards him, but arturo had a lot of heart and would land in some bombs on pac with his leaky defense.

LOL.

First we get Gatti making a fight of things with Mayweather, now this...

Gatti would be counter punching Manny's gloves with his face.

Aren't you the same one who thought Gatti would've had a chance vs Floyd at 130??

Gatti was not in those guy's leagues . . just get it in your head. This would be worse than his massacre vs Oscar.

Pacquiao in an utterly horrific onesided beating. Gatti is unable to live Pacquiao's superior footwork and handspeed and gets cuts to ribbons as result which causes a stoppage in the mid to late rounds to save him an utter shackerlacking.

Gatti is my all time favorite fighter, but I'm not delusional about his ability. He has no chance here. KO within the first 5 rounds in a completely one-sided thrashing in favor of Pac.

Pacquiao would outclass Gatti almost as badly as Mayweather did, but with his greater output and superior punching power, the stoppage would come earlier.

Pacquiao TKO3

Pac inside 3 easily if not inside 3 it would be one of the most brutal beating in boxing history

Gatti would be game (as always) but that sure as hell aint enough to beat Pacquaio.
:shame:

I'd be surprised if this fight made the halfway stage.

That was me,i made that one thread, "Gatti vs Mayweather @ 130".

At 130, Gatti could pose a real threat to the 130 version of Pac. Imo,20-25% chance for Gatti winning against Floyd at 130.
30,maybe even 40% chance of Gatti winning against Pac in a hypothetical 130 scenario.

At 140 though,a very easy win for Pacquiao. Likely a Tko between rounds 5 and 7 imo.
Its like comparing daytime to nighttime when i watch Gatti's fights at 130 and 140.
He was so much faster and more elusive at 130. Punches are so much faster and just miles sharper overall as far as being an overall fighting package. :geek2:

This is just disrespectful to Gatti (RIP). He was a great fighter, but Pacquiao is on another level. Nothing wrong with that.

HAHAHA funniest post ever. Made my day. Never heard Gatti and elusive or overall fighting package used in the same sentence. Gatti got two gift decisions over Patterson and went life and death with Rodriguez at 130. Hardly the stuff of legends from a guy who always had a massive size advantage at 130.

Look I love Gatti, ok. I've already admitted Gatti has no chance against Pac, as anyone with a brain would agree also, but please let's not start bashing Gatti just because of someone making a ridiculous thread about his chances in a hypothetical match. He was a good fighter, and one of the most entertaining fighters of all time. Let's leave it at that

Because it's a total mismatch?

It's not respectful put someone like gatti in the position of some no-hoper. He deserves better than that.
