and i dont think he does...Froch on points for me
I think that Froch wont retire BUT will move up to 175 as there are many big fight home and abroad for him....ven if he wins he can do this.
Cleverly , Hopkins , Cloud , Pascal , Kessler 2 to name a few and are all good fights.
As i said at the start...i expect Froch to win , Bute has not fought at this level before and is finally taking a big chance by fighting away from home. Froch is tested at the elite level in this division Bute isnt , add home advantage and i can see a Froch points win 116-112 to 115-113

I'm gonna say something that most will think is fairly mental but I think if he is going to move out of the Super-middleweight division I think stepping down in weight could be a better option than moving up. If Froch really does make 168 as easily as is rumoured and if he really doesn't put much weight on between the weigh in and the fight meaning he is giving away a bit of weight (but with the advantage of not having drained weight) then I don't see why he couldn't cut a bit of weight and make Middleweight. With Sturm and Martinez at Middleweight there are some decent fights there and it could be easier to become a 2 weight World champ there than moving up and giving away more weight on fight night at 175. I also think bulking up whilst moving up to 175 would be of detriment to Carl.

i initally thought the same, until it was pointed out to how bigger bute is and how andre ward was much the stronger man when they fought therefore i don`t think froch fancies moving up a weight tbh
if he does lose and wants to retire the guy can hold his head high,he`s fought everybody and avoided from no one

There will be options for Froch...... it will be interesting to see where Pascal fits in the Light Heavyweight scene - Froch vs Pascal 2 would still be a dandy.

I think Froch loses to Bute, but unless he takes a serious beating I could see him going on for at least a couple more years.... He really has had a pretty solid career for someone with obvious flaws. I think he will move up if he wins or loses, there are a few tempting rematches at 175 for him or, in my opinion, an easy belt in Cleverly. His opposition really cant be faulted over the last few years and while Ward won the super six, Froch really made it exciting.... With regards to him moving down, I've heard before that he makes 168 easily and doesnt put on much after weigh-in, but he still just seems too big for 160, I just cant imagine him dropping those last few lb's to make weight, but I really don't know. If his chin held up cutting the weight he would be a real handful.
