I almost cringed when the announcer built up the introduction of Tyson Fury from the front row before the Kid Galahad fight. He announced Tyson was there, Tyson looked completely taken aback, then he stood up and raised his arms aloft to a load jeering  Then they hastily moved to a commercial break. So naff and embaressing lol.

Did anyone else see that bit ?

I have to concede I did laugh quite a bit.

Saw this. Absolutely cringeworthy. No reason for introducing him and Tyson obviously wasn't expecting it.

Shrinking violet MC Michael Pass was overcome with emotion after his return to terrestrial TV after a five-year absence.

It was funny wasn't it. Tyson had the look of a stunned mullet, as if to say no one told me I was fighting tonight.

 He certainly did look like he was being announced into the ring as the main event and had just realised he had forgotten to wear his shorts :OhYes:

I loved it the confusion on his face mid conversation was great. He obviously had noidea and i like the fact they didnt turn the mic on the loudspeakers until he said tyson fury, so he didnt hear the imtroduction before his name

You've pretty much summed it up...that's exactly how it came across on TV!

He's always slagging his domestic rivals off...in a funny way, mind.

Seems a nice lad though and, as you say, comes to fight.

In fairness to Tyson, when they were talking to him between rounds he came across very well.
I don't think he's the next big thing by any means but I do like to hear him speak. He's quite funny without meaning to be.

It's simple.

Price wouldn't accept the offer from Hennessy.

If Hennessy had lost the purse bids to our Uncle Frank, then the fight would have been on SKY.

If Fury fights on SKY he loses the contract with channel 5.

Didn't watch the show on Saturday but when I read this thread I thought the same thing. Maybe because of the Price fight not happening?

course I would do - wouldnt it be the same for Price though?

If he fought on Channel 5 Sky would maybe drop Price and with Maloney having him and Jamie McDonnell as his leading fighters Sky maybe would drop them too

There is something likeable yet not likeable about Fury. He always seems to continually want to out do his opponent with the trash talking etc. He seems to hate it if another fighter steals his limelight - classic example was the press conference for Rogan vs Fury. Tyson needed to realise that Rogan is a mini hero in Ireland for his exploits, never was Tyson going get the laughs etc with the press at Rogan's expense.... when Rogan did his Frank Carson routine to great applause, Fury immediately tried to steal back the limelight.... it almost became a competition, cause Fury couldn't accept that this was Rogan's turf - the more Rogan did his Frank Carson bit, the more Fury attempted to woo the journo's with his singing.

Funny stuff, but at the same time he was kind of like a spoilt kid demanding his way.
