true mate was a nice read cheers, thing is the very same thing warren and Joe criticise ottke and hopkins for they have done for years themselves, you know, its joe that needs this career defining fight not hopkins (middleweight champ for 10 yrs now) and ottke will never be held in the same regard outside germany despire him holding the remander of the super middle belts.
So its JC that should have travelled and done eveything possible to make these fights happen, instead of fighting nobodies in wales for the past two years. Be it travel pusrse money whatever he should have made these fights happen.
Having said that I will still be cheering away for him on Sat, go Joe!

I also find it hard to believe that Ottke makes only 1/2 million a fight, if he's getting 8 million viewers....Ottke himself claimed he regularly gets over 1 million a fighter.

pretty much all of Bunces figures in that story are rounded up or down to make the story seem as shocking as possible...
I find it hard to believe Calzaghe earns more than Ottke aswell.

Sven bought his first house after the Mitchell fight last year.....
Seems odd for a guy they're telling us is a multi millionare. Maybe he's just a tight wad?

could just simply be a culture thing, not as many people own homes outright in Germany as here, in Britain its the norm but more on the continent they lease or rent,. Though does seem strange a multimillionaire should do that, i mean its not like he has travelled very far to box is it and didnt want to have to have a base.

Home ownership isn't considered a big deal in Germany or many other continental countries.....
