For anyone that missed it, you missed a good one.

1st a Preview of the weekend fights.
They talked about Joe and Enzo, but not Gary Lockett, so the people who suggested SNetwork are not interested in Lockett were probably right :(

Then a good Calzaghe Interview. Basically, the presenter stated that the reason Joe has not had career defining fights is..... His fear of flying. (a well known fact that isn't often brought up on the Forums when discussing his stagnating career).
In the interview, Calzaghe states he knows he has to fly, knows he has to go to Amercia now to get the fights he wants. Then Paul in the Studio states that the weekend fight may be the last the Welsh crowd see of Joe for a long time. :o

Then the Mitchell Ndou fight... (to introduce us to Mitchell no doubt).

Pad skills?

He just thumps it hard, no skill involved IMO.

Come on be fair, I didn't see his padwork, but Enzo's punching technique is pretty sound, he throws nice combinations for a big lump of a man like he is, and he uses the uppercut well, which is a shot that for some odd reason seems to be becoming increasingly scarce.

I missed Ringside, is that really what Calzaghe said? He has a fear of flying? Well that hardly stops him from making a big fight trip abroad, i mean B.A. Baracus was scared of flying but they drugged him and put him on there...I can just imagine Calzaghe: "Hey Dai, i aint getting on no plane fool"

Did anybody else felt a bit "weird" when Al Bernstein mentioned Hatton first as the prospective opponents for Mitchell. Of course, Hatton is now worthy of that acclaim, but it still felt strange that such a respect American broadcaster mentioned "our little Manc".

It felt weird a few weeks ago when Michael Stewart said Hatton was his priority prior to him stopping Millett. I do find it strange when Americans accept a British fighter as World class.

Yes Stu, I noticed that to, it was good to hear Hattons name being mentioned in this context. With Hattons style of fighting I'm sure he would be popular with the USA TV Boxing fans, like Barry McGuigan was, (although Ricky hasn't got the Irish link like Barry did).

HAHAHA BRILLIANT.

either way if he wants to be remembered as a true great a brit P4P contender (lets face it we dont get many) Then you get over it right ?
or go via a boat and live there for 3 months b4 hand if thats what you have to do. To me it just smacks of bull, and that now he has decided that he over his fear of flying and will do what it takes. Why has he just come to that conculsion.

Having siad that, I thought he looked very good on Sat, as good as you can against a limited challenger. (How many times have we had to say that) Come on JHoe show us how good you really are, fight G johnson as a tune up for tarver then RJJ. thats what we wanna see!

Yeah, you look through the papers or old BN's and i'm sure Clazaghe is referred to a being on holiday in Tenerife or Italy.

WHAT A LAME EXCUSE.

HE HASNT FOUGHT IN THE US CAUSE WARREN CANT MAKE THE FIGHTS.

WARREN MAY NOT EVEN MAKE THE JOHNSON FIGHT, EVEN IF HE DOES, I'M NOT SURE JOE WILL WIN.

JOHNSON IS REAL TOUGH AND STRONG.

I'm surprised more of Warren fighters don't suffer from DVT or bum rashes because every time Frankie is asked who his charge will be sharing a ring with next time he always replies "We'll sit down next week".

We'll sit down this, sit down that, jesus Frankie must have some plush leather chairs in that Hertford office of his, the next excuse for one of his fighters pulling out of a fight will be piles!
