Would froch v ward in Nottingham be a different out come ?

I would like to see froch v Kessler next in Nottingham as it would be a guaranteed cracker, but every time froch fights at home he raises his game massively, so would the crowd help him to victory against ward with a home advantage ?

He's fought two world class opponents at home and looked like crap against one of them.
Ward would still be too good for Froch.

Pascal and bute, he looked good in both to me

Froch was unimpressive against Dirrell; I forgot about Pascal.
I don't see what Froch has done in Nottingham that Ward couldn't deal with.

Ward wont come to England whilst undefeated, and he still handles Froch anyway.

I think the Froch who fought last night gives Ward way more trouble. Carl says he wasn’t 100% going into their bout and going by last night who would disagree! I think the problem could have been he peaked to early remember the fight was rescheduled because of Ward’s eye injury.
I admit I got in wrong I believed the hype surrounding Bute quick with power.
Delighted for Carl, I only wish he received the recognition he deserves and would like to think a fighter who wears his heart on his sleeve could get at least one big PPV fight in his career.

Ward has barely fought outside of California alot like alot of top fighters in Germany for example who dont travel. Froch on the other hand has been to lions den, won and lost there. You've got to really admire the guy. Hometown advantage does make a difference. Bute looked totally overwhelmed with the occasion. He's too use to 16,000 people shouting his name while he beats up good not great fighters. Unless the money was really really good cant see Ward coming over here.

If he lost this fight he may have said the same.
Ward is no less skilled than Bute and he is tougher and more capable inside. Regardless of location, I don't see a rematch being significantly more competitive than the fight that occured just months ago.

This may be the case I never said Froch wins a rematch I am only mentioning this because I remember rumblings before the fight about him peaking early due to the call off. Not Wards fault…Ward is IMO the best at the weight and could dominate at 175 too.

To be honest I wouldn't want to see Ward-Froch anywhere anytime. That fight wasn't a great spectacle, and like a few of the other posters have said the outcome would probably be the same. A Kessler rematch in Notts has to be the next fight, that would be a cracker.

Spot on quote.
We will no doubt have the usual suspects claiming Froch is better than ever - now even better than Calzaghe ...
But Bute just wasn't that good.
carl did superb for sure. But he didn't show anything we hadn't already seen before.

I would like to see a Kessler rematch but i dont think that would be next , Kessler has gone up to Light Heavyweight now so i think Froch will have a defence first , or maybe a unification bout with Stieglitz , if he can get him over here rather than germany would be preferred .

The next fight is all about the Promotor, not Carl.
This is why Carl moved on.
Time for Eddie to step up to the plate, because the fights we want to see with Carl having home advantage are all about the £$£$£$.
Eddie wants to be the best so let's see what he delivers.

Nah, Ward is too good on the inside for Froch to beat him.
Froch always looks at his best when he gives a bit of ground and controls the distance, against Ward he's not going to be able to do that well enough to win the fight.
He might do better in a return, in fact he probably would, but the style of Ward is all wrong for him.

Ward just has too much slickness, great footwork, speed and defence to negate Carl's style. I don't want to see that again, Ward isn't the most watchable guy even though he is technically very good. It would probably be closer in Nottingham, i think the crowd lifts Carl to another level and he forgot that being on the road so much, but ultimately Ward is very slick and I think he has the moves to beat Carl again.

Ward would still be the fave. But with a ref who wouldn't let him get away with the head and elbows...
Ward is effective but awful to watch. I hope someone beats him and his whole act very soon.

NO
Ward would beat Froch if it was in Carls back garden and being reffereed by his mum.
Carl did great last night and i got it totally wrong but stop with all these threads under estimating his obvious flaws against fast slick fighters like Ward and Dirrell.

Of course it COULD be.... people forget that in Ward's home country a one round swing for Froch would have got the draw.... yes, I know it was arguably the most bizarre and horrible score cards in 2011.
Had you projected their 2011 fight in Nottingham with the pro Froch vibrant Fans, he might have got the decision there.
Rediculous yes, but there is a very possible outcome that Froch might have nicked a terrible decision.

Yes.
If Froch had fought Ward in Nottingham, and fought with the aggression and intensity he had against Bute, he would have beaten Ward and won the Super Six.
Ward is a pampered fighter who always demands home country advantage.

As much as im a froch fan , i just dont see any way other than catching ward flush early on , for Froch to beat Ward.
