So basically you go before your Area Council and
then have your licence removed??? I would bring this up in the forthcoming seminar but i'll be fooked if i'm paying 50 quid for the pleasure.

Yes. I love the suggestions that it's "an embarrassing climb down". This is worse! Pay your travel, turn up, get told off, licence taken off you, go home
(Potentially...I'm sure all concerned will, of course, get a fair hearing.)
Must have been done after further expensive consultation with m'learned friends.

Got the letter this morning about the £50 charge being waved along with the new Board statement regarding Haye v Chisora.

It can be interpreted either way I suppose. If the Boards latest statement was meant to clarify things its certainly hasn't. Perhaps it could be bought up at the seminar or agm.

You could be right. I see it as more covering themselves re future potential action. They have to follow procedure.

It is yet another move by the BBBofC to put a block on people turning up to the meeting so everything they want voted through can be done so as they are reliant on licence holders not turning up due to the £50 levy.
The meeting in Birmingham or wherever runs from 0930 until about 4 in the afternoon so why the £50 charge.
It is yet another disgusting attempt to keep the BBBofC as a closed shop. The old farts who refuse to change with the times and are so outdated with their decisions and how boxing in this country is run.

The 50 quid was for the drugs nutrition and medical seminar that was going on not for the actual AGm
