Interesting new article on Boxrec News. To be honest I'm not surprised (if it's true).

Lets hope the fight - if it happens - is half as intriguing as these battles to stage/sabotage it !
Fwank can't grumble - he is taking on the establishment and rubbing their nose in it. Can't complain if the establishment do their best to retaliate.
Wonder if there will be frantic phone calls to other minor EU countries to see if any other nation, not yet suspended by the EBU, will sanction it ? Presumably there is a limit to how many member states can be suspended over this, if the EBU banned them all somebody else would come along and form a rival EBU organisation

This was this morning...the way it's going, I wouldn't be at all surprised it the EBU changed their minds by tea time

First bit - yes
Second bit - depends how the first bit went
Happened with darts (though a much smaller demographic and number of pro participants).

How many pros would follow him?

I think it would be more significant how many other licence holders would, especially other promoters.
I really doubt if he wants all the bloody hassle anyway. If the participants want the fight to go ahead, it will, whatever the governing bodies do or say, IMO.

Suppose the more that do will mean others will also
a lot wont want to be out on their own
so will be interesting to see what would happen
id hope that if it did it wouldnt mean people from each board cannot box each other
that situation would be a nightmare

I hope this is true, there is no place for such rogue organisations in boxing.

It's sounds to me that FW is putting all his eggs in one basket regarding the haye chisora fight. possibly to save allegedly where a lot has been invested with little return. if this fight doesn't happen he could be in serious financial trouble especially with reports of not paying boxers etc

Having spoken to a few licence holders on the circuit there are quiet a few. I think its fair to say most would back the board. Perhaps we need a poll?

I think there would be many newbies. mainly from Hertfordshire, who would enrol just to take part in the poll!

If this fight does still happen but illegally it could turn into a circus with things like Eubank-Benn on the undercard. I wonder how interested people would be if it didn't count as a pro fight. Guess it would still sell no matter.
