Fighters that have huge potential are young and disappeared.

There's some great movement within Australia with rising stars becoming world champs, and soon to be crowned world champs in the near future, however there is some massive talent thats sitting on the sidelines, and with so many on the sidelines excellent match ups are missed.

Here's some names, if you know why they're not fighting let us know.

1, Bolling, fights world Ranked Chilemba in South Afica and loss's and fights number 1 ranked Australasian Caperello and loss's and never returns, this guy can bang, and is without doubt 1 of the most entertaining fighters going around on these shores and he disappears. Those loss's are nothing to be sneezed at, and you can still have a career after those loss's. He beat the pulp out of Oganov, and i believe there's some great fights for him.

2,Forsyth, still unbeaten, still knocking blokes out, still young, so why stop? entertaining as hell fighter, there is some tasty fights for him. Beat McCracken handily.

3, McConville, still unbeaten, still avoiding being robbed at every chance, has some good names on the resume, only bloke to hold Caperello to a draw. So why stop. Being a strong contention of lt Heavys in queensland i would like to see the return of McConville clean out Queensland then go after a rematch with Caperello.

4, Kickett, his loss's come from a freak over hand by notorious king hitter Ahmed Elomar and Super feather king Broner. Again why stop, this guy was easily going to do something early on in his career, a freak knockout and a competitive fight with the next super star shouldn't encourage you to hang em up.
Would love to see his comeback, maybe a few quick ones to dust off the rust, and there's 2 fights here that i would love to see before he took on the world at super feather.

The above fighters are talented and on the given day can produce special performances, i'm shocked that they would just throw it in.

Any info or if you would like to add a fighter i may have forgot, feel free.

With the so called tall poppy syndrome in this country (a fancy name for jealousy) it is small wonder. After being stuffed around for years by Stadiums Limited Rocky Mattioli moved back to Italy having left there as a small child. Rocky won the WBC Junior Middleweight title then came back to Australia to defend it.

Bucket mouthed Channel 9 know all Ron Casey's reaction? "There is another (WBA) champion in that division and he is probably better than Mattioli!" With that kind of talk from a man regarded as an "expert" in the sport (Casey was a former editor of Äustralian Ring magazine) it is small wonder up and comers would feel discouraged.

Elomar and Broner knocked the wind out of Willie's sails. Last heard he was along way from boxing fitness.

Shane was pretty crook last i heard and if he was right i'm sure he would be in there. I didn't think Bolling could bang all that hard but that was his debut and no doubts he improved heaps since then.

Where the hell has Ranee Ganoy been?

Also, is Ben McCulloch back in the ring?

I was hoping caveman would shed some light on McConville, good fighter who should have a real crack at the world, lacks that 1 punch power, but has that ability to outwork his opponents.

I really enjoyed watching Bolling fight throughout his short career, he's the sort of fighter that people come to see at an event( casual fan), he had decent technique with above average power and big heart. He lost a couple of fights in stepping up his comp, but so have some the greatest fighters of all time, now if he was beat by club level fighters in devastating fashion, i would understand, however his exit is excruciating to fathom.

Big fan of both guys as well mate, and sorry to not have included them.

Ganoy in particular was on the verge of challeging for a world title, and then nutter, fenito!

McCulloch, is 1 of Australia's best prospects and because of his consistant inactivity, his name always escapes my top 5 prospect lists. This guy is all class, he just needs the right management team, he's getting on, and imo his easy wins over Omar and Flanaghan were testiment to the fact that he's more than a domestic level fighter. What a waste, should he not act on his ability, always wonder what would have happened if he didn't get injured in the contender. I'd have McCulloch over Wood! :oo

No mate i made light heavy last week in Sydney. But i know my limitations and that wouldn't be a good fight. We need even fights and that one is pretty one sided.

Split decison again mate, and sorry mate i thought you were heading north with the KG's. Unlucky mate, you always give your all. I agree about the even fights, the last few years here have been really good for match making and there is more of a buzz about boxing than say 3 or 4 years a go, people just need to know that happens more often!

Yeah mate i tried hard just a bit short of a gallop. A fight or two under my belt i win that fight. Even fights is what promoters should be looking for so i'm going nowhere near McCulloch.

Ranee's most recent fight was in December last year. He had two fights last year. It is only June.

I spoke with Michael Bolling at the fitness expo I asked him exactly y he had just disappeared after two losses , and he just bluntly answered u need to give boxing 110% dedication , and after having a baby and looking after his wife he finds it hard to make time for boxing and dedicate everything to it, it's to much of a hard sport to not give it 110%. I totally agree and I praised him for it but with a smirk I said to him you will be back mate I had a feeling he really did miss not being in the ring I could tell, but anyway hope he comes back sooner rather than later as its only harder to get back into it if you have a longer brake.!!

Good response, however, selfishly i still hope he returns, and not at a point where he can't really do anything.
