fighting dave ryan on sept 28th at the magna center in rotherham, we both lost our eliminators so to fight each other makes perfect sense, a good win could get me back in the mix a loss puts me right in the shitt so its a big fight for me, dave comes to fight so it should be another one that the fans will enjoy

i wasnt a fan of yours when you playing football (apart from when you played for eastwood as ive a soft spot for them as my brother played for them )

i wasnt expecting you to do much as a boxer when you turned pro .

i genuinely believed you was ducking karl chiverton when that was all being mentioned .

but i will hold my hands up and state you have really earned my respect over the last couple of years , all boxers get my respect but youve massively got it .

you dont seem to be dodging anyone , youve got balls of steel , and boxing would be in a far healthier position today if there was more fighters with the same mentality as youve got .

Excellent work by Dave Coldwell also - it was only last week Woodhouse lost but good to see that Curtis is being kept in the picture with meaningful fights..... good work by Coldwell and co in getting Curtis another date so soon after last weeks setback.

plenty of time for both lads to train too, plus plenty of time for curtis to heal emotionally and physically.

although it will be a decent scrap, ryan is not the danger that miles is, he does not bang half as hard.

curtis will stop him in about round 6 or 7 of this 10 rounder. but it will be a rumble.

thanks damien very kind of you, when i 1st turned pro i knew i was never going to go down as a great but i did want to have a career that i could be proud of and i wanted to be able to turn round and say i took on the best, and ive spoken to dave coldwell about my future and we agree that i can be in great fights, hes gunna keep matching me tough and often and we can enjoy the ride that hopefully one day will see me crowned british champion

excellent attitude mate, i would hate you to fall into the journeymen mode and i dont believe with your mentality you would ever go into the ring purely interested in surviving.

i was ringside at the magna last week, your jab (for a midget) was top notch and your left hook was working a treat as dale threw his right hand, i presume that was all part of the master plan?

did you ever rise like a salmon from your 5ft7 and head a goal?.....

in parts i boxed well but i got carried away with my success and neglected my defence, when i hurt him i moved in to end it and then boom i got nailed, didnt score too many with the head

good question, i cant say what the people around me would do but i would not take part in the show if offered a chance, the board have there faults like we all do but i think they are right on this one

Dale Miles said you did not hurt him and he wanted to go toe to toe with you as he was much bigger than you and your punches was not affecting him because of his superior size.

Same here, if i'm honest when you first started I didn't think much of you Curtis (mainly cos you played for Blues haha) and thought you were a hypejob cos you been an ex footballer etc.

Over the years you have proved everyone wrong, you have proved your a top boxer, a real fighter who will fight anyone, and someone who will do it the hard way.

You have gone from being a bit of a novelty to being one of the most respected (with the best attitude ie fight anyone) boxers in the game.

i felt like i was hurting him in there but maybe i was wrong, the fight will be posted up here today or tomorrow so you can make your own mind up but he was huge on the night of the fight and i really felt his power but if we did it again id fight him the same way because i felt like i was just starting to grind him down till i got nailed, but if anybody stands infront of dale and goes at it with him like i did they will be in for a tough night because hes very heavy handed, but i was pig headed and wasnt listening to what i was been told and i paid the price

good fight to get back in the mix curtis, honestly thought you would stop miles late on, i fear last chance saloon though buddy.

need to win this one no doubt about it

i dont see it as last chance saloon , theres been worse british champions that curtis thats for certain .

i believe on any given night i can beat anybody on the domestic scene, but a win in my next one gives me a better chance of getting a shot sooner, but ive still got plenty left in the tank and the desire is still there so im not stopping anytime soon

Tell you what Curtis. Thought you had the better boxing ability in there. Lovely shot selection on you; especially that inside left hook you've got.

The telling factor was the size. He dwarfed you. I have no doubt in my mind that if you were of similar size used have done Miles there, but hey, if my auntie had bollocks 'n all that.
