What type of home town refs do we have, or that matter any 'Home' have. Any ref on the planet would hav stopped that fight in the frenchmans favour 3 times in round 5. Where is the clarity and fairness in this WWE wrestling sport, or "non sport".

Pretty sure he wasnt a "Home " ref .

i think a british ref would have stopped it .

He wasnt british he was a european ref brought in by the EU sanctioning body swedish or something. The reffing was very poor though everytime he towers was about to go the fight was stopped and he was bailed out, good character to make a comeback nether the less.

Yeah he threw the towel in between rounds whilst sat on the stool, the cornerman picked it up and sent him out again, he got dropped or was out on his legs about 3 or 4 times, started looking to his corner to stop the fight and they still put him out again for another round so he spoke to the ref stopped the fight himself about 15 seconds in.

The only thing this fight was missing was wrestling style outside interference. It wouldn't have looked out of place had someone like Tom Dallas come running into the ring and chinned Towers whilst the referee wasn't looking! DD

Yeah the Raf done the Right thing, the corner man was putting up a better fight, but on Bell's behalf is what i find shocking.. All Boxers know what there going into when getting in that Ring imo thats NOT the way to finish a Fight............

How many hints could Tony give that he didn't want to continue yet time again the ref wasn't interested. Unreal.

The referee was Ernst Satzgeber from Austria.

When Tony similarly claimed an injury after being knocked down by Perez in last year's Prizefighter, he had a kickboxing match lined up the following week. The guy keeps busy! I don't want to question a professional fighter's heart, but I think he puts earning a living as a higher priority than taking risks. Which is fair enough I guess.
