Poor Weida was totally out classed that night. Time for Mark to step it up a notch. He could be wasting his best years.

Met mark in the changerooms before the fight, shorter than I thought he would be.But conversation turned to boxing pretty quick and he said that winning against calloway was a big step up and that he was very happy with that accomplishment,I did point out that calloway was old and not a real heavyweight, but he said that good fights take time to organise and people like meehan were not stepping up(Kettle calling the pot black).I will say he was a nice bloke, but suggested he need to take some harder fights if he wants to be world champ.Posed for a pic and left. All in all,he was courtious and I being retired wasn't a threat so he did open up to me.I did understand that the "chess game" had to be played to improve his position, but for me he's just setting himself up for disapointment if he actually gets a real shot at a proven champ.

against a proven champ?

i know u said if, but, mark has ZERO chance of that imo. how on earth could it be possible with a resume like that?

surely nobody expects that to happen anytime soon. his level of opposition would have to rise dramatically and it appears that is not gunna happen.

it may be difficult to climb the ladder, but people r jack of the talk.

i believe most if not all of us would follow/support/cheer for mark IF he took a risk. but it never happens.

Weida moved like a corpse. Worse than Calloway.

The video was only part of it. Did not show Mark evading Troy's punches or the actual speed of the fight.

Nothing like being there.

Weida had zero head movement and held his gloves far too low. The younger, sharper de Mori was able to just pick him off at will. de Mori needs to be careful he doesn't get lazy and pick up bad habits fighting old slow guys.

He may have been handy some years ago. But age and has taken away what he might have had. If you stand in front of Weida long enough he could probably do you some damage. But if you stick and move like de Mori did he's just too slow and static to defend himself.

I hope you remember that next week when you are bagging someone's opinion of a fight they attended and you didn't.

Brute, will you get all bent out of shape when I remind you?

I sure hope so as your crazy old man act cracks me up.

DON'T CALL HIM OLD.

He went off at me claiming I'd been calling him old. But when he had a look back he found I hadn't at all

Good post Mick. Fancy de Mori pointing the finger at anyone for not stepping up

I cant knock the fight (any more then others) as Weida was a replacement at short notice (By way of Don King agreeing).
For Marks sake i hope Don King lets him fight Chauncy Welliver or Solomon Haumono. Maybe being realistic Mark could fight for the Commonwealth title.

Think you may have misunderstood Rhino, would have been about Mark agreeing to the Meehan fight, but it then not happening due to various reasons I am sure (mainly being the loss I guess).

Sorry Rhino, I mean to say that with respect.

Just I know that Mark isn't so stupid to think or say that Kali is afraid of fighting him with the names Kali has fought in the past.

Mick's had a face to face chat with de Mori and you are telling him he's misinterpreting it when you weren't even there

People can always mis hear of interprete something in the wrong way. Just saying I know the respect Mark has for what Kali has achieved & also knows that what fights happen are out of the actual fighters hands more often than not.

After watching that fight I do think DeMori was carring Weida up untill De Mori throw his first rite hand the one that ended the fight. I can only go on the limeted fight that was shown but if he fought Leapia like that with his left hand down Im quite shaw he wouldnt suvive 4 rounds, even Weida hit him with some nice rite hands. Please dont tell me im wrong untill you have watched it again. :shame:

Weida hardly hit him at all. That video showed hardly anything. De Mori avoided nearly everything Weida threw at him and made him look silly.

Weida is totally shot as de Mori demonstrated by just hitting him at will. It is sad when guys like Weida and Calloway continue on to the point they can't even defend themselves any more and get beat up for a few lousy bucks.
