Tor Hamer - weird boxing style

Hamer style reminded me a little bit of Michael Spinks , boxing one minute with weird movement to rushing in throwing fast combinations.

He deserved to win last nights prizefighter but how far can he go 1 thing is certain - he will get bigger fights either here in teh UK or in the States because of last night. A win of Johnson although over 3 rounds is nothing to be sniffed at.

I thought his performance on the night was almost faultless apart from the third round against Johnson were he started showboating a bit when he could have really finished in style.

I think he should look at fighting a couple of opponents rated between 50-20 in the boxrec ratings for the rest of 2012 and then look at facing some Top 20 fighters next year. I don't think he's ready for a world title shot for another 18 months yet but by that time both Klitsckos will be off the Heavyweight scene and smaller heavyweights will be dominant so he will have a better chance.

He was very honest he didn't seem very happy with his performance at the interview.

What did he weigh? I liked him, thought he was one of the few to really be a thinking fighter, wondered if he could do cruiser though cause there's not much there for him a world level v 6'5"+ guys.

Had a lot of good qualities. clearly intellegent and changed his approach to suit each opponent perfectly
clearly has a good corner and his trainer will have played his part in setting a good game plan

the difficulty is which division to put him in. he is a small heavywieght with relatively very little power. with or without the klitchkos around i think he struggles to upset many of the top 20. and that will only be on points, those he does beat.
Where as dropping him down to cruiser might negate many of his strengths. for instance his hand speed is unlikely to be as big an advantage against the lighter man

thats a problem for his team i suppose.

but i'll look forward to seeing the fella again. the right man undoubtably won prizefighter and entertained on the way

He reminded me of Spinks soley due to his low short edge and hollow backed stance.
