Farrell wins by ko in 5th. Another war by the sounds of it.

Belfast-based Manc Kieran Farrell stopped previously unbeaten Joe Elfidh in the 5th round of their Central Area title fight.

Both unbeaten, both fancied it, neither guy had a long list of stoppages and both can be wild and aggressive so this was always a good match.

Elfidh came flying out of the blocks. He was quite a bit bigger than Farrell and used his size well in the opener, catching Farrell with a series of meaty left hooks. It really wasnt looking good for Kieran in the 1st.

The second was similar to the first but Farrell caught Elfidh with a big right hand towards the end of the round and that really shuck him up.

Farrell started to dominate in the 3rd and 4th, pressurising Elfidh and pushing him back, very busy, plenty of hooks and some great toe-to-toe action. Elfidh looked spent in the 5th, Farrell capitalised and caught him with a crunching bodyshot that sent the Yorkshireman to the canvas and he failed to beat the count. Cue mayhem!
