If Mitchell comes into this fight fully focused mentally and physically then i expect him to break Burns down bit by bit for a late stoppage or a 116-112 decision.

Burns by knockout.

Not sure who Kevin has beaten for people to suggest he's on a different level to be honest.

For a dead/dying sport, September is looking very lively.....

1/9 - Sturm v Geale in a middleweight unification match
8/9 - Ward v Dawson in a meeting of champions at two weights
15/9 - Martinez v Chavez - two more middleweights who have not lost their titles in the ring, plus Saul Alvarez against a TBA (hopefully Lara)
22/9 - Burns v Mitchell in probably the best and most competitive domestic (UK) match up available

Agreed, whilst people are moaning about 'Boxing' not being what it used to be i'll be enjoying some amazing fights :)

Added to that there's 2 cracking fights in August which is normally a dead month for Boxing.

Aug. 11: Tavoris Cloud vs. Jean Pascal, 12 rounds, for Cloud's IBF light heavyweight title.
Aug. 25: Gennady Golovkin vs. Dmitry Pirog, 12 rounds, for Golovkin's WBA "regular" middleweight title.

You did miss out 2 possible FOTY Candidates: Antonio DeMarco vs. John Molina, 12 rounds, for DeMarco's WBC lightweight title on the Ward/Dawson undercard which is a potentially sensational action fight plus another one in Brian Viloria vs Herman Marquez Flyweight unification on the Chavez-Martinez undercard. Also Brandon Rios vs Mike Alvarado is also being looked at for the same undercard.

I didn't know about Viloria v Marquez - great fight if that happens.

And if we're in a game of "You missed out on...."

....Darren Barkers comeback is mooted for 8th Sept with probably a Matchroom buddy or two on the u/c.

It is quite amusing that in the space of 3 weeks there are 3 "World" Middleweight fights featuring 6 guys who have some claim to be a World Title holder!

All on Allegedly channel?
3/4 at a guess - Sky may pick up either Ward v Dawson or Martinez v Chavez to push a future Froch fight.

Sturm v Geale is your standard BN fodder.

Shame it's not in glorious HD on sky, as it's a nice domestic duel.

Will be some grainy fag ash picture with mono sound.

Why has allegedly has been trying to get Burns to fight Mitchell so badly.

Is it because he wants a London champ? More money to be made in Mitchell?

Just get the impression he is desperately trying to get the belt moved to Mitchell!

But to be honest I think Burns will be focused and up for it to get the win in a hard fight!
