Harlow puncher Steve Murray is being lined up for a shot at the English lightweight belt held by Southend's Danny Hunt.
The deal, which is still being finalised, would see the Essex duo clash at York Hall on April 1.
Hunt has 14 wins from 15 pro fights, but Murray (22 from 25) is confident.
He said: "It is going to be the Battle of Essex and I am 100 per cent confident.
"He cuts very easily and I am looking to win in four or five rounds."

Murray will be a handful for Hunt, can't see Hunt taken one of those famous Murray left hooks!, but I am biased having lived in Church Langley, two roads away from Steve!

Is Church Langley part of Harlow or distinct, Kevin?

Yes Church Langley is a purpose built village just outside Harlow, it is really Harlow!...

That loveable character Jade from Big Brother and the reality show on now lives there!

Murray looked like his oldself again in his last fight. This is a hard fight for Hunt.

Are you her mother? :)

I'm really pleased for Stevie, and for his dad, Steve senior.
There are some polarities between what's happened with Steve, and Ryan Rhodes.
I hope both come back strong and at least get in the mix domestically, despite being advised to jack it in by Warren.
I'll take Murray to defeat Hunt.

The match isn't definite, but, yes, I agree that Murray could win this. The way to beat Murray is to push him back. I'm not sure Hunt is strong enough to do that.
