Yes, Richard Evatt was one. Had the potential to be world champion if he lived the life. He could bang hard for a featherweight!

Yh there's was lee ferrie as well who walked away from boxing with a unbeaten 14-0 record, and Neil Simpson former British & commonwealth light heavyweight champion, Coventry has had some good fighters. Myself & Paul Hudson have now taken over the reigns training coventrys next up and coming fighters at Glenn smiths red corner gym, we've got current midlands super featherweight champion, big puncher Troy James who fights for the English title in September and former a.b.a & nations heavyweight champion & currently undefeated 6-0 (3ko's) pro Cruiserweight Chris Keane who is currently main sparring partner for Dereck Chisora for his upcoming fight with David Haye. So some real talent around for a while still representing Coventry :bag: :box:

I remember his fight against Junior Jones, was winning on the cards I think, walked Junior down all night but then Jones pulled that big shot out of the bag to defeat him. Was that on the Naz vs. Ingle card or Ingle vs. Hardy?

Rich is still in Cov. Not up to much, got nicked for a couple of silly things (shop lifting and whacking an off duty copper) and was in a bit of a downward spiral.

Saw him the other day and he'd put on a bit of timber. Can still dig though as he knocked my mates front tooth out the other year.

Dean Pithie, the Payne brothers, Evatt, Neil Simpson, Andy Egan, Roy Rutherford, Andy Halder, Troy James, Shane Junior, Steve Bendall, Rhys and Llewy Davies, Errol Christie, James Flinn, James Mulhern. Few off the top of my head that have come out of Cov.

:DDD Still up to the same then, heard when he was staying in Romford when boxing for Matchroom he'd also go out and KO someone on the street if he got bored! Very hot headed. Used to pile on the weight inbetween fights
