Which belt are they fighting for, is it still WBO/WBA international or summat? Heavies aren't subject to check weigh ins iirc but they still have to weigh in, in the allotted time.

What about the undercard fight weigh ins ?

Think it might be a mistake, not a check weigh-in either, unless David Haye as asked for an opportunity to wind up Del Boy some more, or it could be a last press conference, bit of a risk, best to get them in the ring ASAP before it kicks off.

I think its to keep an eye on them too. If a boxer weighs 22 stone in his last fight then weighs 18 for his current one which is only 3 months after he may have had a little chemical help etc. But yeah its just for the records really.

Yeah today you gotta be over 14st4lb (200lbs). Anything under and you fall into cruiser weight. Way back when you only had to be 12st7lbs to be considered a heavy.

When Roy fought the minimum weight was 13st8lbs (190lbs) iirc. It changed to 14st4lb around 6 years ago I'm guessing

Buncey said last night that it would indeed be on a Thursday near the Odeon in Leicester Square. Not sure on the time.

Regardless, wouldn't they have to weigh in under WBO/WBA rules which I'm sure use the 36/48 hour ruling.

Just the mention of the WBO and one of it subsidiary belts makes it even more laughable. Like I have said before, once you bend one rule it is just a downward spiral, WBO/WBA just want the fee.

No matter how much you polish a turd leforge it is still a turd. You don't think this spectacle is a circus show? Please, anyone who puts ONE fence up to stop the fighters getting at each other will stop at nothing to con the paying public out of their hard earned, and believe me this fight is one big con to get the most money out of a freak show.

Whereas it doesn't really matter with the heavies, it could make a world of difference in any other weight class

It doesn't matter when the weigh in is ,or what the weights are , they can just make up everything as they go along !

The fight is licenced, and is for the WBA and WBO Intercontinental titles. As far as I am aware the WBA and WBO don't have knuckledusters as legal impliments for use under their rules and regulations. So no, they won't.

You're calling the fight a farce but with the fight being licenced, albeit by a foreign regulator, and for 2 Intercontinental titles, it's a farce for you to be suggesting that this is gonna be some kind of underground bare knuckle affair like you'd expect to see in the film Snatch.

It has to be agreed by the governing body. Supposed to be 200lbs unless theres circumstances, such as RJJ's. Cant help but think he'd be considered one of the GOAT had he not gone on too long. Ruined his legacy to a degree.
