Why was the result changed from a Harrison KO9 win to NC9.

Harrison knocks Boulware spark out with absolutely legal punches.

Did he fail a drug test or something?

"KH: In early 1990 you have a rematch with Tony ‘The Tiger’ Harrison (22-14-1) for the USBA #175 title.

BS: This was one tough Oklahoma puncher. We knew he was tough the first time. Boulware fought him. He had Boulware down. Boulware had him early in the fight but wore down and was stopped in the 9th round. Harrison failed a urine test and the fight was changed to a no contest in 9. "

Was for testing positive for marijuana use in a urine test after the fight. The fight should have never been a no contest as vincent boulware was ko'd. If they wanted to strip him of the title okay but i don't see how smoking a joint before the fight would help you in anyway as it is not a performance enhancing drug. Tony Harrison was screwed over on this one, most likely because he was just a journeyman nobody fighter. Truth is that it is a loss for Boulware. If anyone has the full fight can they post it on you tube because that was one hell of a comback as tony harrison was rocked most of the fight.

Marajuana use in urine test after the fight is why they chaned to no contest. It's not an performance enhancing drug. Hell they let roid users today get a way with it and Tony Harrison smokes a joint before the fight and they strip the belt and change to no contest, total bs. Tony harrison won the fight, they should have had a mandatory rematch as marjuana is not a performance enhancement. I think a fine would have been the correct thing to do. But taking the mans belt and change to a no contest was not fair, he earned that KO and marjuana as anyone knows slows down your reflexes, so it was a joke that it was changed to a no contest. But tony harrison was a nobody so no one cared. He was not cheating in that fight. Modern boxers get away with so much that this is laughable they would do this body when your not a famous boxer you can't buy your way out or have someone turn the other way if your not famous. Should have fined him like 25% of his purse or something like that but that is all.
