Only a few years apart, but both of these fighters were WBA Lightweight Champions, and fought crowd pleasing styles, neither is an All time great by any means, but I think it would've been a damn good matchup. How do you guys think this one plays out?

Juan Diaz accomplished a lot for being an undersized chubby lil shit. He'd put the hammer on Dorin.

Totally agree, & I think Balbi was only on the level of the alphabet titlists Diaz feasted upon until he ran into Campbell. Hell, I'd actually take Popo & Kidd Diaz over Balbi, & probably Dorin too.

Diaz (Juan) has too much of everything for Dorin.

If you pay attention to the broadcast of the fight after Dorrin wins that ridiculous decision over Balbi Gary Shaw walks up to him (Dorin) and says "I told you I'd get you a title," with this smirk on his face. It was clear he was referring to the decision and not simply getting Dorin a title shot.

I thought the fight with Balbi was close and could've gone either way. I do agree Juan Diaz would probably be too physically strong for Dorin and would either stop him late on cuts or win a clear cut unanimous decision.
