Matchroom sign in every top am up have all the date for sky were and how will the like s of hatton and co survive now it's a sad way how they been sacked from sky
They probably wont but thats life to be brutually frank! Its a dog eat dog world. Hatton will have to start signing up better fighters or atleast more commercially appealing fighters and try and get a tv deal elsewhere which im led to believe is what he's trying to do.tear up wrote:Matchroom sign in every top am up have all the date for sky were and how will the like s of hatton and co survive now it's a sad way how they been sacked from sky

I'm amazed Sky have let Price go.
In what sense? I mean how do they differ to the other promotional outfits?Londonirish wrote:Hagler2002 wrote:Either Channel 5 or do a deal with the devil FW and allegedly.tear up wrote:Matchroom sign in every top am up have all the date for sky were and how will the like s of hatton and co survive now it's a sad way how they been sacked from sky

Were they? that's news to me 26twenty six wrote:Let's not fool ourselves.
There was a point earlier in the year when Sky were within a breath of abandoning boxing.
Praise the Lord for Barney Francis.
However we are now left with a monopoly situation with Matchroom.
Is it any wonder they are mopping up the new pros ?
Aside from Hennessey who can offer some crumbs, what can the others offer ?
What astoinishes me with Sky is they they have been here before.
Oh Worthy One had a monopoly situation and what did he do ?
Abuse it.
Sky know it everyone else knows it.
Will Matchroom be any diffferent ?
I hope so, I really hope so.
Can I just say that Johnny Wish is an absolute Gent.
If all the other Promotors had a guy with his level of entegrity then boxing would be in a better place.
I just have a nervous feeling that once the honeymoon is over we'll be served up the old mis match stuff.
It says everything about boxing as an industry when the likes of Hatton and Bunny can talk about working together in 2012.
Does everyone in boxing clear their history after 36 months as though it never happened ?
was this after ditching the pay per view, was it because of mismatches and bunny starting Boxnotion?twenty six wrote:They were mate.
They'd had enough.
I reckon you're right mate maybe viewing figures compared to the cost of putting on the shows plus the bloody F1 racing..twenty six wrote:I don't know mate but I can't see that Bunny was a threat in any way shape or form.
It down to viewing figures.Final round wrote:I reckon you're right mate maybe viewing figures compared to the cost of putting on the shows plus the bloody F1 racing..twenty six wrote:I don't know mate but I can't see that Bunny was a threat in any way shape or form.
Good name! I can see them signing more fighters.smoggy7188 wrote:You've also got to remember that the rights for the premier league football have gone up 700% or something ridiculous like that. The Sheffield training base for the amateurs has started to become known as Matchroom ABC.
Buncey came up with it. Had the Boddy Man in stitches.leforge wrote:Good name! Quality for me always.smoggy7188 wrote:Do you agree or disagree that it is wrong for Matchroom to have such a monopoly over sky? I cant decide whether i want quantity or quality? before you got quantity but it now seems they are going for quality.
Sky give us the quality and allegedly give us the quantity, in theory, i guess.leforge wrote:Quality for me always.smoggy7188 wrote:Do you agree or disagree that it is wrong for Matchroom to have such a monopoly over sky? I like a balance, I don't want Sky boxing just becoming a showcase for Matchroom's few stars who've already been built up.smoggy7188 wrote:Do you agree or disagree that it is wrong for Matchroom to have such a monopoly over sky?
