Harrison is possibly the most well known active fighter in Britain (only Khan & Haye are possibly more or equally well known).

Harrison will help a lot to hype the fight and the fight is very winnable. Harrison is tall and powerful which is the type of opponent he should be fighting to help him get ready for a fight against a Klitschko, or the likes of Price or Helenius.

Fury will probably be slagged off if this is his next fight, but a lot of people are just looking to slag him off whatever he does, so the "slaggers" should be ignored.

I agree. Good ratings and generate a lot of interest to the casual fans as they are both known names here. As I said in another thread, no rush IMO to get in with Vitali or Wladamir the lads only 23!!!!!

I won't slag fury for taking it and it is a step up in class against someone everyone knows, it will generate a lot of interest and should pull in good viewing figures, BUT what gain does fury really get from it ? He beats audley so what, can't see it happening.

I'd be happy for fury to take about 5 more fights before stepping up to be honest. no rush.

Providing they are entertaining and make good tele of course.

1) McBride in Dublin for the event.

2) Skelton cos hes fought on 5 before and would be exciting for 3 rounds. Ex world title challenger and all that. (If not him maybe even Sprott)

3) Tye Fields or Brian Minto (another imported faded name)

4) Richard Towers, two big domestics with another minor euro strap that 5 seem to love for some reason.

Then a big push into europe!!!!

I'd make Price vs Harrison and put it on the same bill as Fury's next fight.

Then make it, at last.

Audley the gate-keeper to world class, even though he's nowhere near it himself.

I'd dare say his marketability is less than 10% of what it was pre-Haye.

Like somebody said earlier, it's not a good fight to make because it's a no win for Fury. What's the point?

Publicity wise, this would be huge. Seriously, everyone would be talking about it. Price wouldnt even get a mention.

Fury out in November next apparently.

Why is it no-win? Looks like a clear win to me. Audley won't beat him and it'll get some interest on name value alone. People will want to see Fury beat up Harrison.

However I want to see Price get Harrison as I think Price has the potential to go a lot further and would rather see him get the publicity he needs to build a fanbase and give him more options, currently he can't get the fights he needs so he needs some popularity and therefore money behind him.

If he was to lose then it's along way back, Audley might be known as a face outside of boxing now but he's a been doing his best to look abit of a joke inside. Probably perfect for channel 5.

I think Channel 5 will want a big name next and like him or not Audley is a big name. The figures for the fight on Saturday dipped below 1million so 5 will want a name that brings in the viewers.

Ridiculous scheduling on saturday night. There is limited boxing on TV in this country, so why on earth do promoters put big cards up against each other? 90% of boxing fans, with Sky, would have watched the Brook fight with the remaining 10% split between a choice of pointless heavyweight tomato can bashings on C5 or BN. I'm no TV exec, but it would have made more sense for the Fury fight to be on friday night, or even last saturday.
