Lenny Daws

I was watching the boxing on Five on Saturday, and right at the end they had the last round or two of Daws. Truth be told, I'd forgotten about him a bit.

Having worked in Morden, and also come to the realisation that Lenny was born in the same hospital I was, I followed his career a bit. But since his loss to Theophane he's been a bit off the radar. Apparently Saturday night was the third undercard he's fought on in the Channel Five boxing era. I hadn't realised this. (Though one of those was the Kid Galahad card I didn't watch because I was in Wales.)

Point is, since said loss he's won three fights in a row. Two on points.

Does anybody think he has anything left? Will he get a British title shot again? I'd love to see a Lenny Daws main event on Channel Five. Will it happen?

Lenny is fighting for the EU title next and will win that.
Steve Williams is fighting Darren Hamilton in September and should win.
Lenny would easily beat him again. If Lenny still has the hunger I would favour him in fights with Anwar and Miles so basically he is still in the top section of the British Light welterweights. 2013 could be a big year for him. Daws v McCloskey would be a smashing fight.

Is he? I'd had a few beers by the time Lenny was on, so I might've missed that mention. :yay: Any details of that fight yet?
