Vitali is still the number two in the division.

I think Haye is back to his old third place position now.

It's a tough one. Based purely off his inactivity I'll go with no. However I think he has a good chance against everyone.

Unfortunately not for David it isn't.

Haye should go after Povetkin and his WBA title, if he can't get a Klitschko fight.

Haye vs Fury or Price for the WBA title could make him some good money. After a couple of big wins for Haye, a fight against Vitali or a Wladimir rematch would be difficult for them to avoid.

After the Klitchskos David is the next best heavyweight at this particular time. I defy anyone to name another heavyweight who is above David Haye right now.

Adamek or Povetkin if no Klitchsko available

Judging by his body of work he is the best British heavyweight at the moment on the European and World stage know. If he has genuine aspirations of getting another crack at the Brothers K or be seen as a relevant force in the Post Brothers K era depending on how long they both choose to remain in the sport. David Haye needs to consider fighting some of the following

Kubrat Pulev
Alexander Dimitrenko
Robert Helenius
Chris Arreola
Alexander Povetkin
Seth Mitchell

Otherwise he will be considered a talk merchant and an irrelevance.

There is no need for Haye to retire just because he can't get an immediate Klitschko fight. What a waste of talent that would be.

Would he be as negative again against one of the Klitschkos? Or is he just not big enough to compete against them?

Chisora showed the blueprint on how to beat Vitali, now its up too a higher skilled Haye to implement it.

Yes. Although most people think that Chisora beat Helenius, so that could well be considered his best win.

No, Haye is not the third best HW at the moment in the World. Adamek is ahead of him in my eyes and possibly one or two others.

Is Haye really as eager to retire as has been made out?

I hope all of the Haye retirement talk is just meant to put pressure on the klitschkos to fight him, rather than it being real.

Haye is still No3 in the World, behind Wlad and Vitali. I have seem a lot of these HW prospects, like most of us and, to be frank, none are all that impresseive. Fury? No chance. Mitchell? Ditto. Adamek? Nope. Povetkin? Definitely not and so on.

I doubt Haye beats either Wlad or Vitali but he does beat all the others.

Number One Contender?

I would certainly think so. Apaert from the Champions (The Klitchsko Borthers & Povetkin) I can't see who would be ahead of him at thid partiular time.

Haye's record is second only to the Klitchskos in terms of achievements and accomplishments.

Bernt Boente mentioned Haye vs Chisora with the winner to fight Vitali for the WBC Title. But if the Haye vs Vitlai fight can't happen, then I would definitely say that aye vs Povetkin for Haye's old title would be desirable.

The crowd were cheering Haye, he seems to still be popular.

A Haye vs Povetkin world title fight could be a big fight and money maker, as well as being very winnable for Haye. If he wins then with the right defences he could make a fortune and be involved in very good fights even without the Klitschkos.
