At first didnt wanna see Ricky come back but this fight really now makes commercial sence for both fighters I think Khan will get dropped buy golden boy now and Hatton needs that sky deal back win win I think its a good move for both parties as they are limited on options.
I see A faded Hatton Finishing Khans career.

George Foreman vs Mike Tyson makes commercial sense. I still don't fancy seeing it happen though!

Khan v Brook is more likely at Welterweight.
Khan's next fight has to be back home - so the options are limited.

In my eyes, he should move up to 147 and get his confidence back, if he had a homecomeing against matt hatton it would be a good for him, but not a big money fight and 2nd rate, He would be slagged to the 9's. Khan say's he wants to fight the best. and at 147 that is Brook in Britain, and a big £££ fight. Khan may just call it a day as he has plenty £££££££££ in the bank!

I just cant see Hatton getting close to Khan, never mind hitting him. The Khan who kept throwing himself in and throwing 5-6 punches with the speed he did last night would overwhelm Hatton.
He's a shite boxer, no boxing brain and cannot take a decent puch, but I just see Hatton being torn to pieces.

No way a comebacking Hatton beats Khan. Hatton's not a huge puncher and with the ring rust and bad living will be lucky to lay a glove on him. That would be a beatdown.

The last sentence makes no sense. Who are you talking about?

I'm not Khan's biggest fan but 'shite' is a ridiculous comment. That's why I was confused.

Khan is not a shite boxer, far from it. He is a class boxer when he sticks to a plan.

x 2. Oozes quality, for me. I love to watch him box. The vulnerability makes it more interesting.

He wont get dropped by golden boy, they have already said still want him as he's an exciting fighter and HBO like having him on the network.

He's not a class boxer though! Its a myth that he is a class boxer! His actual boxing IQ is poor, its just that he has such good athleticism and speed and the fact he throws a high volume of punches that most of the guys he fights cant deal with it and get overwhelmed by the sheer number of punches and the speed that they are coming at them! Also it helps that the majority that do overwhelm him dont have the punching power to capitalise on his gung ho style. Marcos Maidana had the power and hurt khan in their fight but Maidana is an aggressive fighter himself, he's not a counter puncher and thus he wasnt able to wait for an opening to counter one of Khans wild flurries. Thats why he struggled for the first part of the fight and came on stronger in the second half of the fight when Khan slowed down somewhat. Garcia on the other hand was constantly countering against Khan or atleast trying to counter even though there was significant difference in speed between the pair.

We'd have to see what Ricky has left first.

I'd have to pick Khan on this seeing as Hatton hasn't fought for over 3 years. Prime for prime Hatton wins easily the only two men to beat Hatton are the two best fighters around, Khans lost to a Colombian journeyman, the very ordinary Peterson and an unspectacular Garcia, the second Hatton lands a big left on Khans whiskers it's over.

This 'Khan is great when he sticks to a plan' line is incredibly naive. Its like people don't realise that actual world class fighters will make adjustments during a fight, so even if Khan does look sensational for 2 rds a Garcia or Peterson can figure him out and make the changes, and once they do it's over because Khan can only fight one way.
For the record I think Khan can beat a spent, comebacking Hatton, probably on cuts. Hatton at his best knows way too much for Amir and would take him out inside the distance.

he is not a shite boxer far from it.
you dont win Olympic silver if you cant box nor world title for that matter.
He may have a shite chin but that is something different.

hope hatton doesn't come back, I like him a lot more now he's retired and not in the limelight. Its been nice not hearing him inundate us with those 'boy next door' type cliches....

Amir is a full time athlete, pretty much always training etc. It would have been a fantastic fight a few years ago but Khan would ruin Ricky now, not even a contest.

When I read the title I thought you meant Matthew Hatton and completely agreed!
But then when I saw Ricky's name I couldn't help but laugh...as a big Hitman fan I'd be gutted to see him come back. He was recently quoted as saying he's over his depression after hanging up his gloves and is now busy with his promotion company, and should stick to that.
Khan needs one or two 'nothing' fights to get some rhythm back; if he loses a third bout in a row that's his career well and truly shattered. Then a domestic dust up with M.Hatton would set him up nicely for The Special One!
