Some fighters just don't know when to call it a day.
Having said that, from what I've seen of Lewison he appears to be a poor man's Olubamiwo so Holden could win this.

Wasn't he the one who was denied a licence to enter Prizefighter a couple of years ago?

Yes that's him. They put him in a tune up against journeyman Tomas Mrazek to see if he still had it. That fight ended up a draw with Holden being dropped so they rightly refused to put him in a tournament with Audley, Sprott (who later pulled out) and Danny Williams (who was still considered a threat at the time).

That was a few years ago so god knows what he's like now. Although Lewison really isn't very good and if Holden trains properly for this he could get the win.

Yeah, well technically he wasn't refused a licence he was just not allowed to compete against a high callibre of field (remembering the apparent best of British were there including the British champion).

Holden should take a good long look at his old conqueror Harry Senior. Mike was a good strong British fighter, just about edged a fat, disillusioned Julius Francis and should be proud of his British title. That being said he lost to Keith Long about a decade ago now and looked a spent force when Sprott and Skelton manhandled him.

Given Mike's last horrendous comeback performance, if the BBBoC licence him they really are in no position to take the moral high ground over anyone.

:TU: some people need the right decision making for them. The BBBoC should do that.

I couldn't believe this when I saw it. Crazy, if he wins I guess he could be a future opponent for Tyson Fury for the WBO Manchester title.
