I got 22/1 with b365 and 20/1 with Boylesports about Claressa Shields winnning middleweight gold. Still some 12/1 knocking about. Savannah Marshall is the favourite and obviously fancied on home soil but it's an open draw and while I'd LOVE to see her do the bizzo I think Shields' price was/is mental. As far as i know she has only ever lost one fight (to Marshall in China) and there wasn't much in that. Anyone got an opinion?

It's worth a tener ! The only woman boxer I would bet on is Katy Taylor

Katy Taylor is, understandably, too big a favourite to warrant a value bet.

I saw that 22/1 on Shields and thought it worth a punt. She has had about 27 bouts and only lost to Marshall, who she was widely expected to beat. I saw Claressa train last week in Bolton, she looks very capable and was confident. Her reasoning is that she knew nothing of Marshall before their first meeting but Savannah knew all about her. Now Shields has studied all the field and knows what she has to do.

On the flip side she is just 17...

I just lumped on at 12's. Even at that it's a great value bet. Let alone getting 22/1 !

Surprised you can get as much as 5/6 on Lomachenko, thought he'd be much shorter than that. Lump on or is there something I'm missing?

Not gonna lie, cant stand it mate - sorry but womens boxing and football i just dont like. Probably force myself through 5mins of it maximum. Just dont enjoy it.

Cammarelle is 9/2 which i thought was decent

Took the late 12s on Shields, you guys have the value, it s a tough diviision but she should have been single figures so happy with the value.

Got Usyk and Lomachenko in a lumpy double and also fancy Zamkovoy in the welterweight, any sort of draw and with his right head on I think he can win this.


These are my fancies before but will attempt to watch as much as possible and perhaps nab a few quid when they start pricing up the quarters themselves etc

That's not great odds, his moved up a weight too so he must be looking good !

I've gone for a treble on Lomachenko, Joshua and Stalker at about 20/1. Just a bit of fun, GB are bound to get a couple of golds so could be them

Sorry if this is a dumb question, But how good is Anthony Ogogo? i dnt watch much am boxing. but he's 40/1 is it a strong field or something i know he gt silver at the comms, i dnt know nothing about am so im hopeless jus trying to look for some bets with decent prices?

Boxing, in general, can give you generous odds at times. It's not a big earner over here for the bookies and their "expertise" is not even comparable to that of their gee gee knowledge for example.

Joshua was 3/1 a couple of days ago, then dropped to 9/4, gone back up a bit to 5/2 now. Must be a bit of money coming in on him.

I got on at 12/1, she's now 1/3 to beat the Russian in tomorrows final. Debating laying the bet, there's no sure things in this tournament with the dodgy scoring.

you the man, i didnt see this thread until near the olympics so only got 8/1 but still cant complain it was a great shout.
