Broner to challenge winner of Burns v Mitchell?

Ive seen this mentioned in a few articles but havent seen it mentioned on here yet so thought id see what people think.

With Broner failing to make Super Feather at the weekend then its almost a cert that hes gonna move up to lightweight. Will the winner of Burns v Mitchell be defending the title in Cincinatti v Broner?

Be interesting now to see if Frank and allegedly can compete with purses at this level, I really hope they can as I would love to see Broner over here. Perhaps the yanks might
think let him come here and perhaps avoid the major publicity that his next weigh in will cause and just get him back on the straight and narrow etc.

It would certainly be an interesting fight, I think Broner has exceptional skills and will be one of our top stars for many years, providing he displays more about himself than
his preperations and games on Saturday night, I hope Ricky gets the fight, he deserves it and we would get to see what Broner has as rest assured he is not the hardest man
to miss with the jab so lets see what adjustments he makes when Ricky starts landing regularly with the stick.

Still Broner for me after 5 competitive rounds I just feel his power will start to get on top, would love to be wrong though.

allegedly is hardly going to compete with HBO! If the fight gets made, it will be in America. Personally, i dont think Mitchell, Burns or Warren would fancy it. They would need a huge payday as there is little chance of either going over there and beating him.

There is a slim chance Warren could bring it over, he did bring Tszyu, Lacy etc over and Broner is earning around $600k at present i believe. But that was amidst much better financial times.

It's doable, but im not sure how big a ticket seller Broner is. I dont think he's a massive draw myself stateside. And this side of the pond he's practically unknown beyond hardcore fans.

Then again Mayweather's welter debut against Sharmba Mitchell was only in front of about 1,200 people at the Rose Garden in Michigan. And look at his other fights since Oscar.

(DAMN i put Mayweather in as an example for Broner )

I think the Burns camp made their views pretty clear on Broner a year ago when they dropped the title, refused a career high payday and generally got the hell out of dodge. I suspect Burns would have made the weight if it was another continental chump!

Minimal chance of the fight happening in Glasgow, Broner earns too much and isnt a name. Minimal chance of Burns going to the USA, plenty of decent straightforward fights here ratherthan getting knocked out on HBO! Money talks though.

Broner Rios far more likely allowing the UK to have the WBO strap belt to be fought between Rees Mitchel and Burns.

I think if the fight is offered to Burns they will take it, assuming he deals with Mitchell.
He's at the stage of his career where a big payday in America is possible and for most people that is a dream come true.
If Burns beats Mitchell then the only thing which would prevent his team taking the Broner fight is the possibility of a bigger name, perhaps someone more beatable on the slide but i cans ee him making a move stateside. To be honest he would be daft not to as if he loses then there are still plenty names over here for him to build up against again.

Personally I think Burns did what Broner should have done. Burns struggled with weight so moved up, Broner struggled with weight and took the piss.

Burns' "weight problems" seemed to manifest very suddenly once Broner's team won the purse bids! I seem to remember Team Burns stating they had no weight issues not long before.

Just as Broner's own issues with weight manifested awfully quickly?...When he won the title just 8-9 months ago he was 128½ now after a few twinkies he's nearer to the Lightweight Limit than the Super Featherweight one. Don't forget that Burns is 3" taller than Broner...in fact at 5'10" Burns was a huge Super Featherweight...

If Burns fought and beat Broner then he would gain some huge respect and go on to make some huge money.

Would be interesting to see that fight as Burns has proved a lot of people wrong over the past couple of years and if he could do it again it would be great for him.

OK I assumed it was a purse bids issue as their fight had been set for Cincinatti and Broner was the mandatory. I wouldn't have thought either Broner or the location would be accepted on a voluntary basis.
