Scott Harrison has been offered a fight against John Murray on the Burns v Mitchell bill.
This would fast track Harrison back into the international arena if he takes it, both boxers couldn't afford to lose, so would make for a good fight.
Harrison has only had 1 warm up fight , but looked in excellent physical shape.

Fancy murray to beat him, although he took a career damaging good hiding against Rios. Interesting fight.

Wouldn't think Harrison would take ths at this moment I would of thought another warm up at least

You don't know Scott mate he would fight anyone,this truly has the makings of A great fight

Given Murray's recent form it's a winnable fight for Harrison.

This would be a bad fight for Scot, he did not fight much of a fighter in his first fight back and did not look like the old Scot Harrison for me, he needs a couple more fights stepping up opponents first, to get rid of ring rust and to see if the abuse to his body has affected him in any way, give him to good fights below Murray's level gradually moving up each fight, then lets see where he is.

Good post and totally agree. Be a great fight once Scott is back to his best.

Could be the fast track he needs if he wants to get back into title contention. Murray is a good test to see what he has left. A lose for either would surely spell the end.

tasty. thing is, although murray is tough as old boots ive always thought him a little overated.

i think scott could win this if he fights a clever fight and chooses when to engage.

doubt they'll take it tho, and i wouldnt blame them.

Recent form as in Rios and Mitchell? Current version of Harrison is not quite the same prospect.

Neither fighter will take a backward step and it'll be fun while it lasts, but I've always felt that if Harrison had a vulnerability before his break, then it was to the body and I can imagine Murray really targeting him there

i think with Harrisons battles with the bottle he needs a fight that will make him train, give him focus.
He's 34 and won't be able to keep going for years, so may as well take the fight.
Also i think if he's getting tough sparring will be the key, Harrison usually has that.

100% agree with this and he should definately take the fight as it will keep him focused and also tell us whether he can still be competitive at the top level.

I think Scott should take it. He has probably lived cleaner than Murray over the past few years due to his prison time. John is not the cleanest liver himself and is coming off a bad beating. If Scott is doing anything, he has to beat up John Murray and on Scott's home turf too. Its a great chance for Scott to get right back up there domestically.

i see this stylistically as being quite straightforward, both men do their best work on the front foot. so whoever ends up getting pushed back ends up getting beat, IMO. Harrison has no track record of pushing back proven Euro-level fighters at 135lbs/ 145-odd in the ring, so I go with Murray.

We can only judge him by his last and only fight fight at that weight. He looked good but as you say a better level of opposition is needed. Come fight night he must put on a good few pounds though because he looks big at Lightweight.

aye. I've only seen him push guys around who were either smaller, or not as good.

Lets be honest here Murray peaked about two years ago, his stamina is an issue, can he beat Harrison absolutely... is it a interesting fight? It’s 100% interesting.

I am sure that the match could be made for the winner of Burns/Mitchell -v- the winner of Harrison/Murray

That would be another cracking fight - and also could be built upt to be a big money spinner (and less risk than fighting Broner).

Mitchell has already beaten Murray, burns v Harrison will be great !
Just think the winner of burns and Mitchell wants a bigger fight then Harrison.
