I suspect some will actually try and claim this!Horse wrote:He got cut on purpose to avoid Anderson?
A point to prove, I still think Anderson will give him a tough fight !Wales wrote:Gutted i missed it, groves appears (from whats said on here) to have moved on quite a bit since anderson 1. Any point in the rematch, really?
Yes to himself, but he was knocked down and the public demanded a rematch, Anderson took the fight on short notice and I think he deserves the chance again, especially after the cancelation of the last meeting. The Dark Destroyer wrote:Didn't he prove the point last time by beating him?jessi wrote:A point to prove, I still think Anderson will give him a tough fight !Wales wrote:Gutted i missed it, groves appears (from whats said on here) to have moved on quite a bit since anderson 1. If I was groves management I wouldn't bother but like I said Anderson took the fight on very short notice and gave him his toughest test to date, groves isn't ready for world level yet imo so a good rematch will keep him active, and that's get it right Anderson got messed around and deserves it !The Dark Destroyer wrote:Only to himself? We all saw him stop him.jessi wrote:Yes to himself, but he was knocked down the public demanded a rematch, Anderson took the fight on short notice and I think he deserves the chance again, esp, ecially after the cancelation of the last meeting.
Look at their records since they last fought, Anderson has hardly pushed himself forward has he? Groves has gone on to bigger things, at this point Anderson is a step backwards.
Its a fight id watch, but would want a big build up etc... Also, did the public really demand it. Didnt see many wanting to see calzaghe jones 2, or mitchell 2... My memory isnt great, but i dont recall it being a nip n tuck 50-50 affair - may be wrong?jessi wrote:yes to himself, but he was knocked down and the public demanded a rematch, Anderson took the fight on short notice and I think he deserves the chance again, especially after the cancelation of the last meeting.
He had groves in trouble and I believe the rematch sold out pretty quick, I'd watch it too !Wales wrote:Its a fight id watch, but would want a big build up etc... Give you that, groves didnt look good under pressure, got put down, and whilst it looked ominous the ref may have let it go on, maybe....jessi wrote:He had groves in trouble and I believe the rematch sold out pretty quick, I'd watch it too !Wales wrote:Its a fight id watch, but would want a big build up etc... Tbh don't remember it that well, but I'm sure it was close until groves stopped him, yes he has nothing to prove but just think he wants to again, hope the cut heals and it happens next, after that ( if he wins ) he needs to meet a top 5 contender and learn to stop getting countered !Wales wrote:Remember him having him over... Was he in trouble of going? .... Will check youtube now
Its a backward step, but better than a undefeated latvian type. Depends what his options are, also, whilst im yet to see the cut, if its as bad as people say hes looking at 6 months out, ish?? Maybe anderson when he comes back then how about brian magee, is that a totally unreasonable shout? Anderson paul smith would be decent, while he waitsThe Dark Destroyer wrote:Do you think that's enough for a rematch though two years later, taking into account their subsequent careers?Wales wrote: Give you that, groves didnt look good under pressure, got put down, and whilst it looked ominous the ref may have let it go on, maybe....
