Pure Genius..........

Your moment of genius, the highlight of your armchair-punditry acheivements. The one time, while watching an old fight or a live ppv where you made an observation or a prediction that became prophetic and made you look like a genius.

I watched Hamed v Barrera for the first time last night, with my brother. After pointing out that Barrera was doing a masterful job of keeping his lead foot outside of Hameds and catching Hamed constantly as a result, I finally decided that Hamed's best chance of turning the fight around would be to turn orthodox, and said so. Immediately the bell sounds to start round 6 and, lo and behold, Hamed comes out fighting right handed. :yay:
Of course my bro immediately assumes that I have watched the fight a thousand times.

When Tyson didn't finish Danny Williams in the first round I bet 5 people $20 even up before round two.

I very rarely place bets. Only about 5 or so in last ten years. I bet £20 on Pavlik to KO Taylor in the 7th in their first fight at about 40-1.

I wanted to bet £2000 on Pacman KOing Hatton in first 3 rounds but my wife and brother talked me out of it. I just knew it was going to be early with the hands down move Ricky does before he punches. I bet £50. That was the last fight I bet on I think.

That would have been sweet,I bet on Hatton. I did have $500 on Pac at +185 against Oscar that I bet a few weeks in advance. After the weigh in I bet $100 on Pac by KO at +400 and $25 on Pac by ko in rds 8-11 at +4000 each. I was so nervous in the 7th that the ref was going to stop it.

Jaime Pittman vs Joseph kwadjo he was bought in to make Pittman look good but Pittman kept leaving himself open for the right hand even though Pittman was easily ahead I told everyone who was watching it with me that Kwadjo was going to catch him with a right hamd and finish him then bang it happened though Pittman got up from the first one but Kwadjo won on the three KD rule that round I felt like Nostradamus

That's why I don't bother with betting much, I don't like it influencing my enjoyment of the fights. Nice bet on PAC though, I was pretty gutted I'd not bet my limit on him v Hatton. I didn't think Kelly was gonna do it either then boom. It was 5am in the morning here and my wife got woke up by the cries of celebration.

Was PAC v ODH stopped at the very start of rnd8?

at the end of the 8th, but Pac lit him up something fierce in the 7th. Gambling enhances my enjoyment, even when it's nerves. That's some of the best emotions about watching Boxing. If I hadn't bet on that one by the end of the second round I would have been bored and just waiting for the inevitable Pav win.

I bet my buddy fifty bucks taking mayweather over de la hoya, giving him the odds of course. After the bell for fight to end he reached in his pocket to give me my 35 bucks or whatever. I asked if he wanted to win his money back. I told him if at least one judge scores it for Oscar he pays me double, if its a UD then he keeps his money. He thought I was crazy. First time I've ever won on both fighters in the same fight.

I knew that Wlad Klitschko would really struggle against Corrie Sanders.

I can't remember if he had to face Sanders as a mandatory.

Sanders was a southpaw, with a big punch, and had some of the fastest hands I've ever seen on a heavyweight.

And he was aggressive.

I knew before the fight that this was going to be hugely problematic.

I've never placed any bets primarily because I live in Louisiana and don't know where the hell I could do that. But anyway.

It's rare I've been able to pick a KO right on the nose, but I've done it a few times usually always in one-sided fights though. My favorite boxing moment, when I knew I just knew this game inside and out was when I saw two fighters who I'd never seen before, never even heard of the two of them. On ShoBox I believe, unfortunately I forget their names. But at the end of the 1st round, I remember saying aloud to my Stepdad at the time and my Mom and my friend that if it keeps up like that and this guy keeps up the bodywork, he'll stop his man around the 8th round. He stopped him in the 8th round.
