OGOGO RESULT

Face of Subway, Celeb Big Brother and any number of protein shake ad campaigns Anthony Ogogo is out, the Brazilian did quite a job on him. Bronze medal. Lucky to get that to be honest, given the previous gift decision.
At least Ogogo turns pro with a clean slate and something to prove. A gold medal with some dubious decisions behind it would have guaranteed four or five years worth of big talk and bum of the month fights, so we might get some ambitious pro fights now. Will be interesting to see whether he cuts it in the paid ranks.

I hope Falcao turns over and doesn't wait for Rio.
He will be fun to watch in the pro game.

I agree 100% with this and I think what you said in the last sentence will apply to Joshua if he wins gold. Then again a Gold medal didn't do Degale too bad winning the European Title in his 12th fight.
Not been watching loads of the boxing at the Olympics but that Brazilian is the best I've seen at the games. Be a waste if he stayed amatuer for Rio IMO.

Joshua didn't box well against Savon but I think he has shown enough to suggest he could beat the Cuban. He should have lost that fight though. It wasn't a robbery, it was close but Savon won it for me.
His toughest assignment is yet to come, believe me. If he wins gold by beating Dychko and either of the other two in the final, and both fights are scored correctly, Joshua won't be an unworthy gold medallist.

I'm looking forward to AJ boxing now hope he does us proud against a guy who is getting a lot of plaudits.
Gotta admit I wasn't that impressed with the Olympic boxing until today didn't watch any at beijing due to the fight times .But the action has really gone up another level in the semi final and I've really enjoyed it. Will be watching all the way through tonight.
Liking the look of this Oleksandr Usyk from Ukraine who is on now. Wlad Klitschko comparisons are inevitable.

Russo and Mammadov are hard to watch. Shame there had to be a winner!
