My end of session blast out consists of 5 double vodkas in the last hour before going home.

Billy, the question I'd pose is why you want to do that? I'm not saying it's wrong, but everything should be underpinned by method and there are plenty of times where you'll actually be wanting to taper them off properly rather than finishing with a high intensity exercise.
This isn't necessarily directly relevant to your session as I don't know what else it comprises, but a lot of trainers/fighters mistaken think that more always equals better, and that isn't always the case - it can even be detrimental on occasion. Tim Ferriss uses a good analogy when he uses the analogy of boiling water with regards to training effects - he points out that once you've hit 100 degrees, the water is boiling and you've achieved your goal... continuing to ramp it up to 135 degrees, for example, has no discernable benefit and actually causes more water to evaporate.
Sorry, as realise it's more 'food for thought' rather than a direct answer, but I do think every session should be underpinned with a rationale regarding what the goals are and then structured to best deliver on those goals. The idea that just 'beasting' constantly = better isn't really supported by the evidence :TU:

billy bessey wrote:Thanks for that but just mean something explosive to make the lads think fook me that was hard not purely at the end i get em to skip or warm down afterwards and it wouldn't just be at the end of sessions but things aren't like they used to be and you cant just feed em the same things all the time especially the keep fitters who don't wanna box. Some have been coming to my gym for 3 years now and id like to get some different things to mix it up more for them
Sorry Billy, see what you mean. A mag like Fighting Fit nearly always has some great different routines in there that are worth checking out - all boxing/mma-related. I personally find kettlebell routines are awesome for an all-round workout. If you want specific boxing-related drills then is this the sort of thing you're after?
