I can see HP going through a Hennessy sports period where have no tv deal and lose some of their stars to Matchroom.

I think Ricky coming back would give us a couple of decent fights over the next year or so with plenty of buzz, atmosphere and expectation. If he is fit to fight, then why not? He may damage his legacy but it is his to damage and you never know, he may just surprise a few people and add to it!

As long as it is for the right reason, and not a gimmick to getting a TV deal for the Promotion Company then fair enough.
However I will be very very shocked if it hsppens.

Can't say I agree, he was a shot fighter by the end and no-one really wants to see a shot Ricky Hatton get KO-d by someone he would have battered in his prime.

I don't think he was a shot fighter. He just simply wasn't good enough to beat the very top fighters.

I got the impression that he was very vulnerable by the end. e.g. Lazcano nearly had him out of there and he wasn't noted for his bang.

Nearly out of there vs Lazcano, not sure I saw that part of the fight. Eamonn Magee nearly had him out of there.

9th round I think it was. Get it watched. Even admitted it himself.

You mean the 10 second or so blip in the 10th, where Hatton got his shoe laces untied? Hurt yes, nearly out of there? I'll agree to disagree on that. Hatton had enough about him to slip Lazcano's shots, hold and push back.... and then to inform the ref about his shoe lace.

No way Pacman blasts him out in 2 rounds in 2004/5. He was/is shot.

The break might have done him some good.
If it`s true he will fight Malinaggi in his firts fight then fair enough. Paulie has no punch, but he can box and it would be a good test for Hatton.
He`s probaly aiming for a huge showdown with Khan for a mega pay day.

I dont think there will be any more decent fights...if Ricky comes back he will be an accident waiting to happen. If he fights anyone in top ten they will crush him. he will bleed easily and it will be a quicker more profound beating like the one Mcguigan took from Mcdonnel, where Ricky will be in the middle unable to pressure like he once did and being muntered in the middle.
Ironically if he does want to come back and do it right, he could do no worse than spar his brother who has just the fast in and out energetic style that he needs to get used to not being susceptible to

Only way Ricky could get telly interested.....fight himself. Its the GBP route to telly.
Personally, I'd be astonished if he beats Maliagnaggi (sp).
I'd have like to have see him v Witter for the British title.
Rare opportunity for that fight.
Would have been a fun event.

It would make sense for him financially and for Khan. The media would have a field day with it.
I`m no big Khan fan, but I`d like to see him blast Hatton out in a round. I went off Hatton badly when I was looking for tickets on the Hatton website for his Mayweather fight and they were charging the same price in pounds as the face value was in dollars.
As if the guy had not made enough money from his fans, they had to try and stiff the punters on a conversion rate. Probably didn`t bother most people, but it pissed me off big time.

Bad decision, at this stage of their respective careers even Mallignaggi would dance rings around him.

also i think it's funny that ricky hatton (the so called people's champion) who has earned millions of ££££'s in the ring from us the boxing public has built this massive gym at a cost of over 2 million quid to give something back to the local people but you can only use it with prices starting at £50 a month and there is no boxing facilities for anyone to use ? bit weird don't you think
