Given that there tend to be riots at all of his fights I expect there aren't too many venues in the UK and Ireland willing to stage a fight of his.

That barn they held his last fight in looked quite smart

Yeah, but they have recently built and opened a venue which can hold all kinds of events. Been talk of having the darts there etc. It's called GLOW.

Got a few friends who work the venue and know a guy who has a company that supplies staff. He said they have signed a deal for the Fury fight, mid October.

Yes there have been huge rucks in the crowds at a few of his fights.

If the promoter scrimps on security thats what happens, all they seem interested in is keeping the expensive seats occupied.

After reading this thread “Tyson Fury fighting at Bluewater” we feel on this occasion we would like to address some of your comments.

JamesWilson – have you actually been to any of our events???? If so please explain the reason that you are implying that there tends to be riots.

Not at any point has any venue in the UK, Ireland or across the world rejected a Fury fight, in fact we have many venues approach us with regards to holding Hennessy Sports promoted Tyson Fury fights.

2. JamesWilson - Yes there have been huge rucks in the crowds at a few of his fights.

JamesWilson – Please enlighten us when and where??? – can you confirm that the rucks, as you call them have been instigated by Fury fans.

3. Old bones Ian - If the promoter scrimps on security thats what happens, all they seem interested in is keeping the expensive seats occupied.

Old bones Ian – we certainly don’t scrimp on security at any of our events, we use a top security company and in many cases have more SIA badged security than required.

The title of this tread is incorrect as we are still working on a date and venue for Tyson’s next fight.

thats different thought mate, yer man was implying that there are riots at every Fury event and that venues should avoid him for that reason.

I've been at most of Fury's fights in Ireland and England and the disruption I've seen has been minimal.

The most serious incident was a scrap between about 5 or 6 lads in a crowd of over 7,000 during the Rogan fight and that involved mainly Rogan's lads and was over in seconds.

The guy has had nearly 20 fights and been top of the bill for most of those and if thats the worst you can point to then yer man is grossly overstating his point, for what reason I can only guess!

I wasnt at Fury-McDermott I but someone above said there was some trouble there but I wasnt at that so can comment.

HS Press, thanks for the reply. Its where the security or stewards are that have been the main point for me, i understand that if someone has paid top dollar for a ringside ticket then they should get a good uninteruppted view, and not have to worry about trouble and the security seems to protect them well.
But in the cheap seats trouble often takes time to brew up, and the security or stewards should be in quicker to defuse the situation. Its a small moan in otherwise entertaining nights boxing.

It might have appeared unseemly but there was no violence involved.

Definitely not entirely at HS ervents. Thats the case in most boxing promoted shows.

I was at Prizefighter where a spectator was allowed to punch another spectator in full view of security just bacause the said spectator (puncher) was sat in ringside.

Also witnessed some vile racist attacks at a prizefighter.

Wherever and whenever Tyson Fury fights; I'll be trying to see it. I hope he has remained in shape.

True its probably a problem at alot of shows and my moan isn't just directed at HS , you can never tell who is going to be a pain when taking your seat, If people act like dickheads they always stand a chance of getting punched.

I aint saying there was sub par security because when fights break out there's nothing that can be done but break it up asap, short of standing a security guard next to every spectator it's impossible to stop everything. But yeah I have been to some bills that Fury has headlined and there has been crowd trouble. OK not full scale riots like I said earlier (people do need to look through my posts to see my sarcasm rate) but certainly it would make me think again about taking a kid or a woman along, I nearly got hit by some stuff that was flying around as on one occasion a scuffle broke out about 4 rows back from me. I aint saying which shows because no doubt I'll get a note from someones solicitor trying to prove that those events went by with perfect harmony and everyone shouting good will to all men. It doesn't seem to be uncommon tho at Fury's fights, can I prove that it's Fury fans starting it? No. But then if I asked you to give me conclusive proof the other way around would you be able to do that? There's a vid on youtube of a scuffle at the Rogan fight, ok it looks harmless but if you're within a 5 metre radius it could potentially ruin your night.
