For Adamu's Commonwealth super-middleweight title. Adamu has just been licked in Germany.

Adamu is fresh off a points defeat to I think Jurgen Braemer.
Beating Barney is not for me reason enough to match him with Froch.

Well, it's a Commonwealth title challenge so that's how they've got round it. Adamu has very few fights behind him, but boxed in the 2000 Olympics (eliminating Courtney Fry) and proved too strong for Matthew Barney to win the Commonwealth title last year. Barney's jab worked well at times, but he did a lot of holding and was just too negative to deserve anything more than referee Terry O’Connor's 116-114 verdict against him.
It was a terrible fight. Adamu looked very raw.

With the needle that exists between Barney & Froch this will be a good oppurtunity for the Cobra to get one over on him.
Brahmer is a decent fighter too.

Adamu lost to Vitali Typsko unanimously.

Oh. Blame TerribleTerry - he was my source.

Typsko was 11-0 going into the fight with Adamu, as Froch is. He won easily on points.

This is a good match-up. Forget the opponent, its the title at stake, and this is a positive step for Froch.
At least he is doing the Commonwealth, British, European, World route...and not the "I'm a WBY World Champion" etc.
I'm pleased with this.

Good replacement, this fight will remain Froch's toughest yet.

My bad.
I never have time to research my posts and just have to shoot from the hip, resluting in these kind of fukc ups

Typsko is a promising fighter. He's basically done what Froch has to do now, and contain the Ghanaian swinger.

Acceptable match up, not that much of a down step from Dodson.

Hope that if Frotch wins the title we dont see a neverending stream of "stiffs". Like some of the Commonwealth challengers i`ve seen in the last 18 months.

Fred Kinuthia or Lucky Sambo spring to mind.

Lucky Sambo has to be one of the best names around. Imagine if he came in sponsored by the BNP! (joke, btw)

How about Mpush Mpule....
Soon to be seen in Dr Doolittle.
I've seen Lucky Sambo fight a couple of times, when I read the fight card however, they had changed his name....
