Long Term Planning for Next season....

I"m Thinkin' 30 events and out for this season.

Partly because I'd like to start from a "fresh" database so that whatever the mystery of the TBII rankings are, they can be utilized in a reasonable context whether we choose to have them be "official" or not.

I'll be happy to continue another season in my current role....(may not manage though....it really does pose a conflict for some).

We can talk about which weight class or weight class combination we want to delve into next season. We could do a simple 2 weight class combo (never tried) or back to a single weight class.

IF someone just happens to be itching to take my or creases place and can make a 30 or more event commitment I'm all ears! But lets talk in a PM

Yeah....I'm getting ahead of the game, but if it's well planned, it will serve everyone well. We are learning some lessons here, and I'd like to apply them in the next season. (Before Joe Frazier and Dulio Loi have there way with all the other fighters this season.)

Tzyu....I need a consult with you on a very specific software issue.....perhaps we can do it in a PM.

Cheers!

I wouldn't mind doing a P4P era if we could Iron out some of the problems we've had this year. Thanks to you both for making it work as best you can this year. :TU:

...still a lot more to come though, stating with the epic TMDT

Have you definitely settled on the idea of this season being a 30 weeker? If so, I would ask if you could stretch it (a little) to make it a 35 weeker...
Because I would like to conclude the season with The Super Six as we did last time around and that event requires five weeks to run... And to be honest, I think we all (as boxing fans) like to see the best guys face off against each other.
:TU:

PS. And if I were to confess, I would admit that I had hoped that this season would be a 40 weeker... But it's your call, Mr Buzzington. And cest la vie.

I would happily resume my duties by keeping up the administration of the Sim. However I do think that I will need to drop the "Joint Commish" title as I would no longer have to organise and establish the rankings, and I could just focus on updating and undersigning fights.

And as you say, with the understanding that we do start off with a "fresh database" there should be no irregularities in the rankings. And that is fair and clean.

I do think that a "Cross Weight" season would be the way to go for the next'un. And just throwing it out there as a suggestion, I would favour a "Cruiserweight & Light Welterweight" season - where each Manager selects a CW and a LWW.

The good thing about this concept is that (unlike seasons past) NO fighter has ever fought at both weights, so there will ne no overlap and as such, could make for an interesting and exciting experiment. Plus, neither of these weights has ever been done before.

all good suggestions.....

this is just meant to be background noise for the moment.....and not meant to distract from the current season in any way.

More than 30 can be done.....let's see how we all feel at event 25 or so.
