WBC President Jose Sulaiman during his staying in London, spoke with British boxer David Haye, who wants to return to fight for our organization.
The WBC was the first boxing organization in recognizing David as world champion, when he conquered the cruiserweight title in 2007.
Then Haye fought in the heavyweight division, and now he wants a fresh championship shot against current champion Vitali Klitschko.
The talk was amicable and David Haye is welcome to return to the WBC
Haye holds a record of 24 KO’s in 26 wins.

Will David be looking to renew his British licence I wonder ?

Paving the way for the Vitali fight then? I'm sure they are also thinking about the future, if Vitali does retire after his next fight, the WBC belt will become vacant. Surely, if Wlad wins the WBC title he'll be elevated to super champion, leaving a space for another Heavyweight Champion of the World, quite possibly Haye will be champion again.

Don't forget the WBC (I think) said they no longer want to have their titles unified with the other bodies so if Wlad were to win the WBC he would have to drop either the WBC title or all his other titles. In other words Wlad wouldn't hold onto the WBC title.

That's just about as dogshit as it gets innit , no unifications allowed!

If and when Vitali vacates it'll be Arreola against someone else for the belt.

Good point Karl. I wonder where Haye will be placed in the rankings now he has been accepted back in? Could actually be a pretty big fight Stateside, Haye V Arreola for the WBC belt.

Life after the Klitschko's is closer than we think, perhaps?
