Golovkin wins by 5th round stoppage

Proksa was fought gamely, but was badly outclassed. He was dropped once in each of the first, fourth, and fifth, with the referee stopping the bout after the final knockdown. Proksa took a beating following the knockdown in the fourth, and in my opinion the bout should've been stopped sooner.

Golovkin has some major power.

You're right!

His lack of defense and huge punch should make for some good fights.

He does look easy to hit but I think he does it on purpose to lure people in to his range. Who is going to risk trying to KO him when they know that they could get KO'd in the process? I think Golovkin must be confident in his punch resistance to try the tactics he uses. If his chin is even slightly decent it's going to take someone super special to beat him.

Just watched it, and Golovkin oozed class. He took a few punches from Proksa , but the difference was Golovkin throws punches without worrying about whats going to come back at him, and Proksa threw punches hoping he wouldn't get any in return.

The only one at Middleweight that may be able to beat him is Martinez, what a fight that would be. And the thing is Martinez wouldn't be afraid to make the match.

Just watched it. Golivkin punches really hard almost effortlessly. Proska was well out his depth. Hard to see who will beat Golivkin anytime soon.

That would be a great fight.

Just watched it myself and was impressed with GGG. Great jab and has a great range of punches. His right hand lead was good too. Can be hit but if your hitting him, your close enought to get hit yourslef which is time to worry. Everytime Proska was backed upto the ropes he was in trouble and a couple of those body shots GGG threw were killers, he hit the same place twice which would have really hurt.

Golovkin looks so unassuming he's like Clark Kent before the fight starts, then turns into superman when the bell rings.
His power looks out of this world, just effortless... but when he lands, the other guy looks like he's been clipped by a wrecking ball.

Get the impression his chin is very good too, he really looks like he could be one of the best we've seen in a long time.

Proska was brave as hell, but unfortunately, so was his idiot corner - they should have spared him the final KD - and the ref didn't help much, but at least finally realised he needed to stop it after Proska got up yet again.

Proska was a brave opponent to pick as it would have been very easy for GGG to look crap against someone so unorthadox. But he took his time, showed plenty of class and broke him down. Would be very interesting to see him in with Martinez in the near future

Proska looked really hurt a couple of times and so open. He's a brave tough bloke but the reflexes only get you so far.
Stick him in with Barker when he's recovered Matchroom.

Yeah he looked incredibly at ease before and during the fight - scarily so.

Lot's of power yes, but the quality of opponant hasn't been great and he's 30 years old. The fact that he's got a big punch and seems so relaxed in the ring makes him dangerous, but he's got a lot of static Eastern European traits to me. I'll reserve judgement until I see him tested a bit more.

This. He's a talent all right, & beating Proksa up like that was a fantastic performance, but the Pole couldn't get out the way of dick & seemed convinced one of those snapping lefts was going to turn the tide so stayed in there bombing long past when sanity should've told him to get on his bike (i.e. the first forty seconds or so).

Let's see him face another top ten dude (or maybe, who knows, more than one) before we anoint the guy.
