Firstly would like to say a well done to all the fighters what a show it was. Craig Windsor won, Michael Stuppart beat Arron Mckelvie by Ko, Craig Mcewan won points was a bit of a mismatch. Willie Limond won points and finally the main event was great. Firstly I was very disappointed to see a man I once respected in Billy Nelson show up in Youseff Al Hamidi's corner. I'm a big fan of Scottish boxing and getting our lads to the top of the sport but Billy trying to get an opponent to beat one of them was a disgrace in my books. However that didn't work Ronnie won basically every round never really needing to go through the gears.. Al Hamidi's movement was excellent as always. Ronnie won 80-73, Al hamidi was very passive in the fight with Billy screaming for him to come forward which never happened. All in all a good night of boxing who's next for Ronnie on this performance surely on his way to the British title

Geta grip dave I was asked weeks ago to do his corner by his manager,you should look closer to home about mismatches mate,al hamidi made ronnie miss so much last night it looked as though he'd hardly sparred for the fight,ronnie got hit with the best punch of the fight a left hook but what I would say if your happy with that performance your easily pleased.

Mismatch Craig apologised to his own fans. He embarrassed the boy was running around the back of him the crowd were laughing was far too easy for him.. Onto Ronnie you are trying your hardest to get him beat just because he left you? It's very childish. Why won't you put one of your superfeathers in with him if he has found his level? You know and I know he would beat them all.

Onto the fight Ronnie missed with a lot but I also remember Ricky being made to miss a lot against him aswell Al Hamidi is very good at getting away. When Ronnie got in close to try and work the body he threw his head in. Ronnie done the sensible thing avoided being cut and took a very comfortable points win. As for best left hand? He never even budged Ronnie end of the 7th Al Hamidi was in trouble and the 8th Ronnie rocked him a few times. We were right behind you screaming at Al hamidi to go forward he wasn't interested in coming forward he wanted to avoid being hit.

End of the day you think Ronnie has found his level? You put Ricky in with Al Hamidi before he won the world title so we should fancy Ronnie's chances.. Why don't you put one of your Superfeather fighters in with Ronnie on the Burns undercard? ( you won't answer that question)

got to get past andy townsend before he can get that british title on a serious note though ronnie is a good up and coming fighter i saw his fight with maxi hughes cracking fight that theres a long way to go and a lot to learn before you go in for the british title but al tell you something theres some cracking lightweights coming through give it 2 year and it will be the best domestic weight in my opinion

Alba he is a good trainer nobody can deny that but the trainer should be the guy keeping the fighter on the straight and narrow and always be in the background. He's always on these threads bumping his gums . You don't really see anyone else's trainer doing that. Just seems to be the billy nelson show. Strange as Ricky is so respectful and humble. Surely he

Davie you haven't a clue about boxing mate,ricky burns was toying with him in sparring and wasn't even out first gear,your promoter needs to make those fights but the only one he could fight is Michael roberts and he'd school ronnie,as I've said before ronnie hasn't made SFW yet can he do it safely I don't think so!
Will he want to be a pro and fight 3 min rounds instead of 8x2mins ha ha(because that suits him best!his words not mine),one last thing I got rid of ronnie not the other way around FACT!!!!!

Billy seriously I've been in your gym with the sparring so maybe your dream sparring stories should be thought about.. Also I have never come on here with any sparring comparisons as they don't matter. But just to remind you I was there a few times when Ronnie sparred. You telling us down in Doncaster that Ricky was faster than Khan. Whatever you take I want some of that please?

Ronnies quicker than khan good one mate you get off the wacky baccy,I admit I did find it hard to get ronnie fights,its good he's getting fights tony is a good guy and will work hard for him as I did,people don't see all the phone calls promises and broken promises made with regards to making fights its shocking,one thing I would say about ronnie I do believe he'd fight anyone which I do admire about him.

Remember when i broke my hand against maxi hughes "due to ur very poor hand wrapping" ;) Well in fairness i never had to up any gears against al hamidi last night! Only danger he hit me with was his head, and if he hit me with a left hook also it must have shaken me so much i forgot about it! His cheap head shots caught up on him though when mr nice guy was not so nice ;) I am fed up with ur bullshit Billy, when u seen me last night u were so false! Rememeber what u said to me about Michael Roberts?!? I wont talk about that on here ur a very two faced man that talks too much rubbish! Michael is a very nice guy and a great fighter and he wont stay with u forever because his father can see through u! p.s Billy hates me so much i love it! If u get someone to fight me at 9st 4 championship fight, weigh in the night before i will do it because i can! Thats right Billy WHY??? I never said you never tried I actually initially thought it was a mistake leaving you as I did rate you very highly as a trainer and had a lot of respect for you. But end of the day comments like Michael would school Ronnie is crazy. They don't want that fight and I know for a fact you know what would happen in that fight as you have already said.

If I had a gripe with ronnie why would I pass his new managers number onto a matchmaker for fights with good money in them,because i knew ronnie wanted fights and had a young family to support.not exactly the actions of a man who hates someone tut tut

ha ha Al Hamidi boxed Nicky cook before the burns fight he is the best survivor in the game if ronnie had boxed him over 3min rounds he might have got to him a bit strange doing 8x2 but still a good win

maybe someone can clear this up i think you need to do at least 1 6x3 and be over 21 to box for british title

iv heard a few of nelson boxers have got new managers because he cant get them fights is this true and there is more than M Roberts out there in Scotland D Traynor J Slowie J Simpson S Russell P Appleby A McKelvie a local boy fight D Savage Young roberts is a very nice boxer and in my opinion still growing in to SF were as Ronnie is a good come forward fighter and is a full SF thats a fight down the road which has been said before ...maybe yous guys want roberts so bad because of billy ha ha fight him

I was at the show last night and must have been watching something else, wasnt much atmosphere a lot of booing and all mismatches, the stuppart fight was the only one when the journeyman came to win and suprise suprise he did lol, craig mcewan has so much talent and clearly carried that boy through the fight i hope billy( billy is manging him yeah?) can now move him up a level as would be a travesty if he didnt win a title of sorts with the talent he as, as for ronnie vs roberts make the fight if both are so confident it will sell so be an earner for all.

Must admit when I found out there was goni be a show in Dundee I was thinking about travelling up to it, untill I saw the line up. I hate shows that are all one sided. By the sound of things, Ronnie, Limond, Windsor, Mcewan didn't lose a round. We need competative fights not 95/5 ones. Anno its hard because money is tight but still.

Anyways, av spoke about the whole Clark v Roberts fight before. I said it should happen for something bigger and better than 6x3s at Scoutston sports centre or something, so where bigger than on the undercard of Bruns Mitchell. Its a cracking fight which could go either way. Micheal is a really nice boxer who has developed with the guidence of Billy, but then again Clark is strong and can bang so it would be a 50/50 fight. If Billy really is THAT confident that Micheal would win well they should get it on. The thing I like about Ronnie is, he seems to be the anytime, anywhere, anyone guy that's not afraid to box unbeaten prospects. Who wins?

i thought al hamidi was gonna be a test for me! Just recently he beaten a prospect in zander white ;) Now i seen a list mentioned up top there and anyone of they prospects i would fight! They are all great fighters in there own ways!!! We were trying to get a prospect to fight me at Dundee Ice Arena but they seem to not want to fight for some reason :s

Scottish Prospect SF prize fighter up in Scotland lets make that happen and put boxing back on the map here :P ;)

I see Mcewan is thinking about going back to America as his career is stalling a bit too much over here. It's a shame he just needs a promoter to get him some decent fights.

I don't think you'd get 8 scottish guys willing to enter. Out of the names mentioned above, simpson too good (no offence) jon Slowey is too small. Trynor fight will never happen, Gilmour will protect him same with Savage jnr. Appleby won't fight you, high risk no reward. The Russel fight could happen. Mckelvie fight is just stupid, he was just stopped at the weekend.
The Micheal Roberts fight won't happen. Youv offered a few times on here now and its not going to happen. Billy said he doesn't think Ronnie would make SFW safely which isn't really his concern anymore.

If Ronnie is wanting to fight anyone which am sure he is, he's best going after someone like Kris Hughes, Barry Craig, Jordan Mcrorry (that would be a cracker) I think Ronnie beats all guys mentioned above except Simpson and am on the fence with Roberts. Good to see that attitude but mate. Best of luck

hee hee Simpson is a great guy and was very impressed with him and Appleby... Appleby needs to get up the weight he is such a good fighter but struggled with his preperation/diet in his last fight it seemed :(
I am just a massive underdog lol... Kris Hughes ;) Stop giving me ideas lol... I will be challenging the world soon... Surely someone from there will fight me :O I believe they wanted me to fight Hughes near 10st lol... I want to be fighting at 9st7 and championship fights where weigh in the night before at 9st4 ;) Who knows Hughes might happen ;)

Following the thread with great interest . Marvellous to see professional boxing return to Dundee . There may well have been mismatches but probably acceptable for the first show in that region .

I saw Clark's first fight in the Normandy hotel and was very impressed . Very quick and a good solid puncher . However he is NOWHERE near ready for a British title fight . I would reckon he's two years and 8 fights away . But I'm not saying he won't get there at sometime .

I don't know who his manager is , but it is the managers job to develop his fighter so he should be looking all over the UK for the appropriate matches . He doesn't need to fight on certain bills . Put his name out there and promoters will take him on . If Clark and his team are prepared to travel for the going rate he'll get the fights .

A final message - Scotland's so short of top level boxers we can't afford to have 'fall outs ' and name calling . We should be mucking in together and helping each other .
