Does anyone know if this is being shown in the UK?

Has teh makings of a great fight. Two of my favourites. I really rate Mathysse and if it were not for dodgy scoring he would still be unbeaten, but Olsegun is a class act as well.

Just seen its on allegedly. Excellent. Can`t pick a winner here.

Olusegun is going to have his work cut out here. I think he can win this by outboxing Matthyse but he's inconsistant at the best of times, a years inactivity isn't going to help

Very excited about this one, prefer this to Dawson v Ward myself.

Olusegun has been waiting forever to get his shot. I favour Matthyse he's got serious power as shown in his fight vs Soto.

I think if it's close the decision will go Matthyse's way. He has the extra power and think he will catch the eyes of the jusges. I'm going for Matthyse and a close UD

aye- Matthyse, at the very least, will have the appearance of the guy who is making the fight.

That was a cracking fight while it lasted! I agree Matthyse will be too strong and win maybe late on or clear points.

Is the Olusegun v Matthyse fight being shown by BN? Bunce has mentioned "some issues" on Twitter and its not on the full BN website schedule. Would be a shame as I'm quite looking forward to this.

I'm not sure, the whole card has been pulled from the BN schedule.

I thought Matthysse looked stunned a few times against Soto but he does have silly power and as raw as he can be at times, he's got to connect with Olusegun at some point. Which is when it gets interesting. I guess if his chin holds out he could outbox Matthysse but as others have said, his complete willingness to engage and make a fight could make it one of those controversial tight decisions he's been on the wrong end of a couple of times.

I thought against Matthysse that Soto played into his hands a little too much - Kept going back in straight lines and smothering his own work and was up close far too much when he should have kept it at range far more - I'd expect Olusegun to do the opposite of that and maybe employ some lateral movement to take the sting out of Matthysse's attacks and avoid that overhand right which is a such an effective weapon.

He's a real dangerman, props to them both for taking this fight. You've also got to feel for Ojose, he's seemingly been waiting for that title shot forever and now he's in with a real powerhouse like Lucas.

I can - Mattheyse is too much of a handful for Olusegun who likes to pose a bit too much, tries to be punch perfect. That will not work for a round here; Matthyse will chase and knock him about, maybe a corner retirement in about 9.

Very tough Mathysse, but i think that Ajose deserves a chance to be official challenger to the lightwelter belt.

I dunno, Olusegun has had opportunities to showcase his abilities and done just enough to win too many times, looking fairly sloppy in the process. He has to take some of the blame himself

but those were mostly kindof marking-time type fights? i seem to recall him being 'in line for a shot' for about the last 8 years, so by definition pretty much every fight he's had since then would be marking time, you know?...

on the other hand his style is so, shall we say, economical with energy, that he's often going to look a bit one-paced and lazy against british-level scufflers.

maybe, just maybe, a guy who comes right at him will bring out the best in him?

thinks thats being a bit harsh on olusegun. for me hes looked far more solid than khan , but of course hes not had all the press up his arse, nor the promo advantages ,and virtually zero publicity. i just hope that if he beats matthyse ,some of the bigger names in the division dont do a disappearing act.

From what I've seen I'd be surprised if Alusegun can make a dent in Matthyse.

When you're a pro boxer and hoping for big pay days and you have a show on the telly then if you don't kick ass and look good then it's down to you; Olusegun is talented but doesn't go for it. His fights look like a spar or an exhibition; he doesn't go for it. Matthyse does and will be too much for him.

allegedly have confirmed on Twitter they are no longer showing Olusegun v Matthyse. Not sure of the reason.

Sorry just to check, are you suggesting this Saturdays fight between Olusegun and Matthyse is now on Primetime Live?

I thought I read earlier it was but maybe I assumed that it was the UC to the Chavez/Martinez card.

I honestly don't know where it's on now but I would assume that BN didn't want to pay enough for it and that's why it's no longer on that channel.

Is it on the ward Dawson undercard?
