Buncey proclaims the forthcoming Chris Byrd-Andrew Golota showdown as "a potential classic" on the BBC website. Potential stinker more like. Byrd couldn't look good if he was fighting a statue, while Golota has fought once in about five years, when he took seven rounds to stop Brian Nix (later bombed out by Audley).

Yeah someone has clearly been putting magic mushrooms in Buncey's pies.

Why is he hyping this farce up anyway, are the BBC planning on showing it maybe?
Seems to be so much uproar about it that it'll probably be cancelled anyway.

there was rumours going around yesterday that the byrd camp weren't happy with golota as the opponent and that jefferson deserved it more cos he's at least ranked by the wbc at no 15

I suspect the same as MW - the Beeb are probably going to show it so Buncey must be banging the drum. God, it will be a weird fight if it does happen. Could be one of the worst for a while.

I can see potential in this match up for a good fight, but between Byrd’s non-commital style and Golota’s mental frailty, we are almost certainly going to be served up a stinker.

Can you imagine for one moment though that Golota overcomes his demons and boxes to his ability, and that Byrd enters with a determination to stand his ground and fight, we could have a classic encounter, but these factors playing out are massively unlikely.

If it goes ahead I hope Byrd wears an iron-plated foul gaurd!.... could be a painful night for him.

The joke is, I and many others could talk about a wide range of sports. It's nothing special.

Agreed, i could hold my own in quite a few sporting conversations as well. Gimme a job Beeb!
