I think the BBBofC will make Brian Rose fight him as his Mandatory as Rose is fighting Viv Harris in October.

Although if that doesn't happen, i would like to see him in with Prince Aaron or Sam Webb.

I think Prince Aaron has gone up to Middleweight. Sam Webb fight could be interesting as they use to be sparring partners

i dont think Ochieng needs to fear anyone in the division domestically, sure his next few fights will be where we really learn about what hes capable of , i can for some reason see a rematch with Curtis Valentine eventually happening , Curtis isnt really in a position right now to be given that chance but who knows , i think it would be an interesting fight but right now Ochieng doesnt need to look backwards , people liike Rose or Webb wouldnt be easy fights but i believe they are winnable fights , plus hes a bit of character so i wouldnt mind seeing him getting some big opportunities anyway .

Did the sky commentators say Brian Rose or Ryan Rhodes as possible next opponent? I'm sure someone said Rhodes. Which I thought was strange as he's retired.

No mate it was Jamie Cox, I believe. Jamie Cox and Brian Rose.

Must just be my hearing. Cox is went off the radar but that would be a decent fight.

Jamie Cox is back now after opp's on his hands, should be fighting around november, would be a good fight, Ochieng is slippery and very accurate with his hooks, but he did got hit a lot with the left against Toms and if lets Cox hit him with his left he could be in trouble, as Cox is dangerous with his left, but Ochieng does have a good left hook to head and body for southpaws, but for me Cox would hit too hard for Ochieng, it just depends if Cox has recovered fully from the hand injuries.

I think Cox has more issues than just his hand. He still has to travel to Ghana if he wants to keep that belt and the way the Board is with the Warren fighters at the moment they are not letting that one go. Interesting time however Sky are being very good towards Erick and people are starting to get to know him. Godd time ahead for Team Ochieng

What's the story with Cox and Sai? Have they been ordered to fight again? I notice Sai has been keeping busy since they fought.

Valentine Vs Ochieng 2 would be decent imo (if Ochieng didnt get the chances to step up from English level) Valentine has not long won the midlands belt and had his best win against big touted prospect Ryan Aston

There is no way he is going to Ghana, none at all, I know promoters in Ghana, no one will be able to finance it, most shows cost between 3 and 7 thousand pounds to put on, complete shows and they struggle with them, in fact without sponsors they have no shows at all, tickets sales and tv bring very little and Jamie cox's purse would be around 15,000 pounds alone, trust me it can't happen, winning purse bids and carrying the fights out are two different things, besides Eddie Hearn wants a commonwealth and British title shot for Ochieng and what a big promoter wants, he usually gets, Ochieng was calling out Cox and Rose, why would he do that, if it was unlikely, so far Ochieng has defended his title against a journeyman in Lowe, who gave him trouble in the later rounds and Toms who was stopped in the first round against a none puncher and the very basic Toms gave Ochieng real problems last night before the body shots got to him, amazing how Rose was avoiding serious challengers when English champion and not fighting Ochieng to get a shot at the British title, now Ochieng is doing the same. The whole national picture in this country is a joke, find the easiest way to win a title then get easy defenses until you get to fight for a bigger title, then repeat the process or even better don't defend your title just sit on it till you get a better one. No wonder nobody wants to watch boxing anymore.

Trust me, unless Warren puts it on over here it won't happen, it's about money.

We have tried for the fight twice now, but they don't want it and I know why, but I do like him has a fighter, skillful, entertaining and good for the sport, not the finished article yet though.

The look on Spencer Fearon's boat when Ochieng is singing the song at the end is priceless.

Yes it takes a lot to outshine Spencer Fearon, loved the weigh-in when Ochieng and Toms stared each other out, then a girl shouted something to Ochieng and he turned round to her and blew a kiss, I think it shocked Toms, who looked huge compared to Ochieng, it broke the ice.

I like Ochieng, looks really promising but is far from the finished article. Looks the part but isn't just yet if you know what I mean.

His straight shots still need improving and is a bit too easy to tag at the minute. Will be hard to match him next as I'm not sure if he is ready for the top domestic guys

Comes across as a great character though and it was good to see little Napa doing everything he could to get on camera

100% correct Lenny, Ochieng gets great leaverage and speed into his hooks, they come from nowhere, plus he has good head movement at times, but needs to use his hands more to block, instead of absurbing shots, his jab and straight right hand needs work and he needs to build up his legs a bit, because he is not the biggest light middle, yet he looks like Seal and is as slippery as an eel, you can tell where he gets his DAPPER skills, great personality, very likeable and great confidence, even when he had a bad 1st round against Toms, it never fazed him, then went to the body and did the business, needs to be matched right until he is more complete. Wonder if he can do welter ?

Safeerah in regards to your last post Brian did not avoid Erick ochieng so stop talking rubbish, the fight was scheduled to happen before Brian was offered the prince arron fight.. Now what would you do? Say no to a British title shot and defend the English belt? No you wouldn't so stop making rubbish up!!

Adam thats what Ochiengs team said and in fact the fight should have happened before, also we tried to get a shot, so wind your neck in, Brian Rose should not have got an English title shot or a British title in the first place, because he was sparked by Max Maxwell and fought a journeyman for the English to which a lot of people thought he had lost, fair play he beat Prince Arrun, but he has not yet defended his title against the best in the division yet, everyone knows it's a matter of time before he gets taken out, After all the trash you write, how can accuse someone else of the same, Bye Bye.
